Worst hotel stay ever. After booking 6 nights through Expedia for a 2-queen room in Boise, I tried to change to a king bed due to my daughter canceling. Although 8 king rooms were shown available online, the hotel refused any changes, citing a strict "no change" policy through Expedia, and demanded full payment if canceled. The front desk said the cancellation fee was 100%, and no partial refund or room switch was allowed.After calmly explaining this to the staff, I accepted the queen room. But the next morning, the hostile hotel manager called at 6:54 AM accusing me of threatening negative reviews, hung up on me during the call, and refused to provide contact info for regional management. Feeling unsafe due to the manager's aggression, my wife and I checked out and booked another hotel for the remaining 5 nights. The hotel insisted I pay for all 6 nights with no refund. The manager sarcastically said "have a good day" as we left. This whole ordeal was caught on hotel video.I lost over $400 due to the no-refund policy enforced because of the manager’s hostility and lack of customer service. Despite remaining calm and respectful throughout, I will never stay at Wyndham or Super 8 again. This was a terrible customer experience aggravated by unhelpful policies and an aggressive manager.
