    Longview Cottage si trova convenientemente vicino al Blue Ridge Parkway e al Cone Manor House a Blowing Rock, nella Carolina del Nord. Si trova a breve distanza in auto da Boone o Blowing Rock e da altre meravigliose attrazioni e servizi di High Country. Longview offre comfort casalingo e servizi in cabina per una fuga romantica per due fino a un comodo rifugio per famiglie per cinque.

    Longview Cottage è una casa su 2 livelli con 2 camere da letto e 2 bagni su Appalachian Ski Mountain, con una bella vista sulle montagne e pastorale a 150 gradi. Arredato con bellissimi oggetti d'antiquariato e arte, è un rifugio perfetto per chiunque.

    Longview Cottage è dotato di 3 TV via cavo, lettore DVD con un vasto assortimento di DVD, giochi e libri. Ha accesso internet wireless, ventilatori a soffitto in entrambe le camere da letto, lavatrice e asciugatrice, una bella stufa a legna per le temperature più fresche e l'aria condizionata per le calde giornate estive.

    Questa casa ha una meravigliosa terrazza / veranda dove puoi sederti all'aperto e goderti il ​​panorama e l'aria fresca di montagna, a prescindere dal tempo. Sedersi sotto il portico se ti piace l'ombra, o hai bisogno di un luogo asciutto per leggere un libro in una giornata nebbiosa. O sedersi fuori e cenare all'aria aperta per godere di grandi vedute del cielo. Il portico / ponte è davvero un meraviglioso salotto all'aperto. Ha una griglia a gas, tavolo con sedie, sedie a sdraio, un'altalena e amaca circondata da fiori selvatici e piantagioni di giardino selvaggio. L'ampio soggiorno e le ampie vetrate delle cucine ben attrezzate portano i panorami all'interno; mentre i pavimenti in legno massello, i tappeti orientali e il soggiorno rivestito in pietra conferiscono eleganza e calore.

    Permette agli animali domestici di pagare $ 35 a notte per animale. C'è una cassa per cani inclusa!

    Questa casa si trova su Flat Top Road, ha un sacco di parcheggio pavimentato per 2 o 3 auto. Anche se il vialetto è asfaltato, potrebbe essere necessario un 4 ruote motrici per il vialetto d'accesso se c'è una grande neve in inverno. Il vialetto d'accesso diventa un buon sole mattutino e di solito si spegne bene, ma può essere difficile con la neve alta.

Amazing views. Very steep driveway but we had no trouble with our Mazda. Only slightly challenging. House was cozy, homey and clean. Front deck has awesome views of mountains and the valley below. Good location as its close to town but quiet and next to the Parkway.

Thoughtful details and a stunning view

This cabin is full of interesting details and the view is stunning. It’s right around the corner from the Appalachian ski mountain. We all learned to ski and were able to warm up by the fire each night with a hot tea each night with the electric tea kettle. We had a wonderful family trip!

Ski weekend at cottage

Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. It was a great place to stay for a few ski days at Appalachian Ski Resort which was a five minute drive away. We had 4 adults and one kid and it was nice and cozy. Great views from the cabin with a wonderful deck and grill. If you are staying more than a couple of nights, recommend bringing items like paper towel, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, etc

Loved the interior of house. Exterior and yard were in poor shape. Great view, good location, close to parkway and everything in Blowing Rock. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you could need. Problem with garbage cans outside. Raccoons or something got into them several nights while we were there.

Home away from home

We needed a place to stay, while our hardwood floors were being refinished. This clean and comfortable cottage fit the bill perfectly. Truly, a home away from home.

New Year's at Longview

Nice view, ample and well equipped kitchen, great hot stove. Unfortunate location of the hot water heater in guest room closet makes it difficult to sleep in that room because the boiler noise is loud. Area rugs looked dirty and the closets need to be organized and dusted. The beds are very comfortable and the bed sheets felt good quality. The listing makes the Cabin look bigger than it is, but for two couples and a child, it felt cozy and overall charming. Nora

Longview cottage

I want to start by saying that renting with Carolina Cabin Rental was the best, definitely my first choice from now on. The cabin is small for more than 4 or 5 person but very comfortable and clean . Now , the main bathroom tub drain is a little bit clogged , the kitchen in my opinion needs a little bit more or pots and pans but it works with what they have and last the drive way after the snow is impossible to come up even with a 4 x 4 . Overall I will rent Longview Cabin again .

Great Stay

The property was great. Clean and convenient to all the places we wanted to visit. We plan on staying again. There was an odd smell when we first arrived. Smelled a bit like the last renter cooked fish their last night there. Luckily we brought room spray and a candle so all was good after a couple hours.

This was our second stay at Longview Cottage and we enjoyed it very much. We did have some concerns regarding the cleanliness of the property, however. Things generally didn't seem as clean as the first time we were there and with current COVID concerns we would have liked there to be no question about that, especially since others had just checked out that same day. Overall the cottage seemed kind of dusty, there was a dead bug in the utensil holder in the kitchen, the bathroom rugs did not appear to be freshly laundered, etc. Like I said, we enjoyed the visit, love the cottage and hope to visit again soon.

Broken Window

We loved this place, you know all the good reasons. but it's important that you know what's holding back. There was a window that was open when we arrived. This window is broken, and we couldn't get it to close, right away. Only after about 4 min of work were we able to close the window. It's on the fireplace side, near the front of the house. Also the floors are falling apart.

Beautiful view - love the porch!

Had a great time - had most everything we needed. Comfy bed, clean bathrooms, adequate kitchen supplies, wonderful mountain view with chairs and tables, great privacy, good location near Blowing Rock, etc. However, there are a few suggestions to make a stay in this nice cabin even better. WiFi is spotty and drops off often, as do phone calls, but we realized we were way up high in the mountains, so it was not a huge issue. Better WiFi and cell service would have been helpful for us, but we were able to conduct Zoom meetings just fine. Next, there is some deferred maintenance that would improve the property - the lounge chairs on the porch really need new cushions - those thin ones were uncomfortable. Next, the nice tables on the porch are rusted, which can be remedied. Then, the wonderful cool mountain air from the windows towards the porch with the great view was an issue because to enjoy the air, the open windows had no screens, which caused bugs to invade the kitchen. We were puzzled as to why no screens on those windows. Then next, the sink really needs a new stopper/drain - current one is not usable. A Keurig coffee maker would have been better than the tired Mr. Coffee. Having said all that, the absolutely gorgeous hydrangeas on the porch were stunning - that was in late August (where we live, they are gone by July!). I hope our suggestions don't sound too negative - we loved our stay - we just want the owners to know that perhaps renters more updating for the price paid. Thanks.

Cool cottage with a great view

Excellent house with good bones. Floor plan -- inside and out -- suited us very well. And the view ... the cottage earns its name. Two items prevent this from a 5+ rating for our needs: (1) Internet access is anemic and, just as bad, intermittent. Only 1 mbps for downloads and about every 7-9 minutes, the connection would disappear altogether ... for 3-4 minutes. (2) House needs a detail-oriented deep clean. Under the kitchen sink was frightening with evidence -- not recent, I don't think -- of rodent activity. Also mildew and grime were on practicaly every exterior window sill along the back side of the house. Those said, we admired the books, the art, and all the collectibles. The house is well-appointed. And did I say we loved the view?

Lovely Cottage with wonderful views

Lovely cottage that met our needs. Conveniently located and just the right size for the two of us. It rained the entire time we were there, but the large veranda out front enabled us to spend some time outside despite the weather. Beds were comfortable as was the furniture. Kitchen outfit was complete and met our cooking needs. A couple of suggestions: strainer in sink needs to be repaired; also no salt/pepper/sugar or any spices (we wish more rentals would have a courtesy package of salt and pepper and sugar). Otherwise, a wonderful place.

Great Cabin Getaway that is close to Blowing Rock

We loved our recent week long stay at Longview Cabin. It was clean and well decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with most anything you might require for cooking any meal. The large deck has a couch, 2 really comfy chairs, 2 recliners with cushions and a nice table with 4 chairs where we ate most of our meals. We spend a lot of time on the deck enjoying the great view. You get the feeling of seclusion but the cabin is actually less than 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and just a bit further to downtown Blowing Rock Our only negative experience was with internet service. Internet speed was very slow so it is difficult to download large content. The top speed I got all week was was 1 MBit. If you are into streaming movies, you probably won't be able to with such low internet speed. This was not an issue for us, although we did have problems with a couple of Zoom calls we were on. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated this cabin at 5 stars. All in all, we had a great week at this cabin. We are already thinking about booking a return trip to this wonderful cabin with a great location.
