Beautiful cabin with a spacious living area and nice decor. Good lighting inside and out for security, and comfortable furniture. AsOther mentioned, there is road noise, but we visited when there were no leaves on the trees and that’s kind of the trade off you get when you want something convenient to Boone and App State. Other than a few wear and tear issues, I give it four stars because it lacked the conveniences and attention to detail that makes an experience excellent.For example- a sugar bowl and salt and pepper shakers displayed, but empty. A large closet to hang clothes with only three wire dry-cleaning hangers and nothing else. A Keurig with no coffee pods for guests. A limit on how much trash you may have without a monetary fine and no way to recycle. I know that these are not deal breakers. We took recycling to campus, bought our own coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, didn’t hang our clothes, and stayed on top of how much trash we put in the can. That said, those types of details are what makes something a truly excellent five star experience that makes you feel like a valued guest versus the feeling you are just another renter.
