Incredible remote villa

This villa is a perfect getaway from civilization and people. We saw very few people at all even after walking on the beach for an hour. The views out the window and porch are spectacular. The host was very helpful. We also stayed on Providenciales - an island with very different character. My rating should not be compared to a typical hotel in Providenciales near Grace Bay Beach - my rating should be compared to other remote villas. If you want to get away from it all, it will be hard to find a more remote location!

Perfect for romantic seclusion

First: all the great stuff. Ruthann was at the ferry dock waiting for us when we arrived and our rental car was ready to go immediately so we hopped in and followed her to the house. It was everything I was expecting. A nice little home in a gorgeous setting. The view was so gorgeous it looked fake and was my favorite part of the house. Ruthann was super fast to respond any time I contacted her with a question or issues. She even set up our covid testing appointment with the island clinic for our return flight home. Definitely above and beyond. There was no one staying at any of the homes nearby so we felt like we were on a private island. It was amazing. We would definitely stay again! The house itself is nicely appointed but could use a few more kitchen items. For instance most of the knives look like previous guests have used them beyond their intended purposes. But we managed just fine. There IS air conditioning in the bedrooms which made for a nice cool place to retreat as needed. The living area is not but we just left the doors open any time we were home or not in bed and the ocean breeze kept us comfortable. We only noticed how warm it was if we went into the air conditioned bedroom and came back out. All the batteries for remotes were dead except for one set so we just changed the batteries as needed. I am sure if we had told Ruthann she would have brought more but it was a minor thing that didn't bother us. We were unlucky in that it is apparently a time for lots of seaweed so all the beaches of North and Middle Caicos had lots of it. We are assuming it's common in summertime. Otherwise the water and beaches were gorgeous and this was our favorite vacation ever. We hope to return to these beautiful islands more in the future and would definitely love to stay in the same house again! There is a perfect sandy spot to watch sunsets each evening just down the beach. We spent our nights laying in the lounge chairs under the stars watching the beautiful night sky. The privacy this home offered was our favorite thing about it... next to the view

Beautiful isolated property

We really enjoyed our stay at the Baldwin camp beach house. It is a small 2 bedroom home sitting right on Whitby beach. The house is clean and stocked well enough. It is not an upscale place. The master bedroom is good sized with a queen bed, 2 drawers and a crib. It has a wall unit air conditioner that works well. The mattress was far too firm for me, but my husband thought it was fine and there were plenty of extra linens. We only used the air one night as the trade winds were blowing the whole time we were there and there are plenty of windows to let in that breeze! The second bedroom was very small with a double bed. We did not use this room because it was only the 2 of us, but it was a much tighter fit in there. It also had an air conditioning unit. I did lay on that bed one time and it was a bit softer than the master bedroom. There is a dining set and two lounge chairs on the patio. A gas grill that works well. There was also a single beach chair that we took all over the island with us. This house sits right on the beach. There is a second identical house just to the east of this one, and a shell of a house being started to the west. There is a laundry room at the back of the property with a washer and dryer and clothes line. There is a single bathroom that functions fine. However the hot water heater is only a 6 gal tank and you won't be taking hot showers. The warm water runs out in about 3 min. I am a big baby and did not like that at all. There was some starter soaps and an extra roll of Toilet paper. Plenty of towels and wash clothes. This was a great place to stay if you like quiet and isolation and are looking for clean and simple. It's about 15-20 min from they ferry dock. Once you turn off the main road, it is a couple of miles down a dirt road to the house. The manager met us at the ferry and showed us the way. There are plenty of sand burrs in the yard and became my husband's nemesis 🤣. North and middle caicos is unspoiled and so beautiful. We had all the lovely beaches to ourselves. The locals are wonderful and sweet and willing to chat about all kinds of things. We would stay here again ❤️

Best Private Vacation

We had the best private vacation experience. North Caicos is amazing. The house was perfect. Ocean front...kayaks. Best deal on the island.
