“Il castello (villa) è bellissimo , enorme il parco, i saloni sono notevoli. La camera era piccola ,non molto pulita. All' arrivo non ci è stato fornito nessun aiuto per i bagagli e non ci è stato permesso nemmeno di avvicinarci con l'auto alla palazzina dove eravamo alloggiati. La cena al castello è stata servita in una bella sala con ottimo servizio, ma con menù fisso e non valeva il prezzo. Sicuramente un hotel di charme , lo consiglierei con riserva.”

“Super expérience avec dépaysement total dans une très grande chambre au calame absolu dans le chateau. Personnel tres sympathique et 2 jolies chiens super amical qui surveille le château. Je reviendrais a la première occasion. ”

“Chateau is beautiful and in a very peaceful spot. I would describe it as 'shabby chic' as there are areas where money could be spent. However it is lovely and features such as the sweeping staircase, chandelier's and furniture look gorgeous. Town is only 4 miles away with a range of restaurants. Continental breakfast was great and plentiful. Only met 1 member of staff at breakfast but she was lovely and gave us some of the history of the chateau. Another English couple were staying in Kings Room...

“It was our first time at the Grand Hotel. We stayed at the hotel on our way to catch the ferry from Caen to the UK. The location is very peaceful next to the Solesmes Abbey. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was of a high quality. Our superior room had a balcony and air con and was spacious. Our little border terrier, Lola, was made very welcome and we found a lovely walk next to the river behind the Abbey. We will definitely come back. ”
