Owner was very nice but units needed updating. Restaurants in immediate area were closed. Room had an unpleasant odour. Bathroom extremely small.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Hurricane Lee just passed through and with the wind and rain as a result it was hard to deal with the humidity and dampness as a result the odor. The larger newer hotels definitely have larger bathrooms than we do but with this being an older motel it is what it is. We wish you all the best and hope you enjoy the rest of your time on our wonderful Island. Safe travels.

The staff is great but the room has some musty smell from humidity which is high in the area. The room is clean but the furniture and furnishings are a bit dated.

Das Motel liegt nahe der TransCanadienne 104 und ist abends trotzdem sehr ruhig. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr sauber.

An old school motel with average room and mediocre furnishings. While very clean, linens etc a bit worn to the point of bedspread having a noticeable odor. We arrived from ferry at North Sydney in early evening. Adjacent restaurant not open and local close spots all closing by 7. Few open in morning either. Road noise diminished thru evening which was good

Excellent starting point for the Cabot Trail
Even if a fairly rudimentary motel, it is in excellent condition and in a perfect location to explore the Cabot Trail and Sydney/Glace Bay. Wonderful and generous host in Audrey - highly recommended and if we're lucky enough to get back there we'll stay here again.

I did the day you arrived, my husband just died suddenly that morning and staff were upside down. We are glad though that you enjoyed your stay and hope you visit us again if in the area.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have a wonderful fresh water lake 5 minutes from here with a walking trail around it for the walkers plus swimming. Also, Groves Point which is a Prov Park right on the ocean for swimmers and a nice place just to sit and listen to nature. All the best and safe travels.

Petit établissement charmant. Parfait pour un arrêt au Cap Breton. La dame à la réception est super gentille. Petit resto juste à côté où on y sert un bon fish and chip.

We really enjoyed our stay. Audrey made us feel like we were longtime friends. Our room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The view from our porch was lovely. This property is very conveniently located without being “in town”. We would definitely stay here again.

Good evening, we changed over to Shaw and your the 1st person this year that has had this problem. I just went to all rooms and everything worked fine. You were in room 8 the other night, wish you had brought it to our attention when you were here so that we could have checked things at that time. All the best and safe travels.

Affordable, good driving distance to multiple lakes and parks. Located around various breathtaking views. Good parking. Owners are on site and lovely! Very helpful for directions and places to go. Rooms were clean and a good size. Bathroom was clean, fresh towels and cleaned when we came back from our outing. Recommended.

We were late checking in, but we were greeted with a smile, and a very pleasant check-in experience. The restaurant next-door was going to close in 15 minutes, but we were welcomed in and sat down to an enjoyable meal. All in all a very good experience.

Advertised as ocean view. Very little view across a very busy road. The rooms are old and dated. Musty smelling, very noisy and the beds are hard. The owner however is lovely.
