“Location in central Newtown was terrific. The main floor restaurant was shut down. No elevators to third floor so 42 steps to the third floor and no bell staff so dragging all your bags up was not a good start. No hot water in the shower. Got moved to second floor was an improvement. Historic hotel (opened during Civil War) was alluring but couldn’t recommend it.”

“Three rooms occupied in a 50+ room building, and we get put in the room adjacent to one of the three occupied rooms - walls were paper-thin, so we got to listen to the neighbor's TV all night. That person checked out after two days, and a fighting drunk couple with a heavy NY accent subsequently checked in to that same room (again with more than 50 other possible rooms available, why right next door??). Spent the night with earplugs in waiting for the bullets to fly. Had one bath towel for the...

“Great stay. No complaints. You can tell the hotel is on the older side ex. Corners of furniture had wear, but overall no issues.”

“The room was dingy and it reeked of pot and cigarette smoke so badly that I went across the street and bought a candle at Aldi and burned it all night long. It didn’t help very much.”
