“Paid for 5 nights, stayed for 1. Host ignored multiple messages, phone number wouldn’t connect. Pillows and pullout mattress beyond unsanitary. Overpowering odour throughout property. Weirdly, there was attention to detail in some areas. Beautiful setting, well maintained garden, great location. Such wasted potential from an uncaring host. “We had a great stay and enjoyed both the quality of the cottage and the excellent amenities. The host was attentive but not obtrusive and keen to make sure we had a nice time. Our 14 and 16 year olds really liked the hot tub and the large TV in each of the rooms, there are great views from the tub and cottage.The local Tesco is well stocked and only a 5 min drive away (walkable in 10-15 mins). “Jean was a lovely host and the cottage was just the right size for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. I liked that there were no amenities that close as it made it a really quiet retreat.
