“Great location in the historical center, close to restaurants and main attractions. While the room was facing a busy pedestrian-only street [Republicii], with live music and full of patios, the noise wasn’t a concern once the windows were closed. We booked the largest room for 12 nights and we haven’t had any issues during our stay. “This is a very nice hotel, very clean and beautiful setting. Getting to it is an absolute nightmare. One has to travel down almost 2 miles of dirt, gravel road up the side of a mountain, the GPS that I was using got completely confused and sent me down the wrong dirt road, someone from the hotel had to come to the town square to lead me cause it was impossible to find the place. Once there the hotel was great, staff from friendly and pleasant. If one is going to stay here make sure to rent a 4x4...

“Lovely historic houses with beautiful old furniture. You eat in the main house (breakfast/dinner (30euros 3 courses), so if you are staying in the lower house (a complex of 6 rooms with a lovely garden and the option to use the sauna and hot tub for an additional charge) you need to walk 5mins for food. Extra activities include making chimney cake, bear watching, tour of Castle Kalnoky. We did have a car so drove to Varghus gorge for a lovely walk to see the caves (cost 50lei car park). NB if...
