Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. “This place looks like crime scene #2. The rooms are clean, but they're also ragged as hell. Holes in the wall, lights that don't work. It's where you go when you don't have any other choices. If that's the case, you could do worse. But block the door with a chair or suitcase, because the chains are busted.”
