From the terrace, you’ll never tire of admiring the exceptional panoramic view of the Cévennes mountains, the southern slope of the Aigoual Massif, the valleys, and the village of Bréau. In the summer, you can enjoy—right at the edge of the forest— the song of the cicadas and the chirping of birds during the day, and the song of the crickets or perhaps the hooting of an owl at night.<br><br>A recently renovated, very comfortable apartment on a secure, fenced-in property. All rooms are located on the first floor and on the same level. La Roseraie features a living room with a fully equipped kitchen (cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes, ceramic cooktop, electric oven, microwave, range hood, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, washing machine, HD flat-screen TV, sofa bed for extra guests, heating, etc.). A separate bedroom with a large bed (140 x 190 cm) and two closets. A separate bathroom with a shower stall featuring a sliding door and a heated towel rack. A separate toilet. A private outdoor terrace with tables, chairs, large bamboo gardens, and lighting in the dining area for evenings.<br><br>With an automatic gate, you have private parking to park your vehicle on the property near the rental.<br><br>The garden is carefully maintained, especially the flowers in the summer. The property features over 170 roses, ornamental shrubs, perennials, annuals, bulbs, bamboo, and a lawn. There are lounge chairs for sunbathing and a hammock perfectly positioned in the shade for relaxing with a drink. A charcoal grill is also available if you decide to barbecue. <br><br>For your shopping, a large commercial area is a 4-minute drive away. In the village of Bréau, there are two stores, a bakery, and a bar. If you want to enjoy local products, don’t miss the markets. The atmosphere, the colors, the flavors, the aromas—everything is designed to help you have a good time and buy authentic local products (Pélardon cheese, Cévennes sweet onions, Vigan Reinette apples, trout, honey, jams, apple juice, chestnuts, herb sausage, etc.). If you’re tempted by the Mediterranean beaches (Palavas, La Grande Motte, or Le Grau-du-Roi), they’re about half an hour away. <br><br>Two must-see sites and highlights near the rental. This large natural cirque (one of the largest gorges in Europe) is formed by a meandering stretch of the La Vis River cutting through spectacular canyons between the Causse du Larzac and the Causse de Blandas. The second, the Aigoual Massif, located in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, has been designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site and classified as a biosphere reserve. This area of exceptional natural beauty offers a variety of attractions and numerous hiking trails. The summit of Mont Aigoual, at 1,565 meters, features an orientation marker; on clear days, you can enjoy a panoramic view of a quarter of France and the Mediterranean.
