New Weston Farm, Bredwardine Original building 17th century, probably timber-framed; encased in stone rubble in 18th century; enlarged and heightened in the 19th century. Still a working farmhouse.

River Wye and Bredwardine vicarage Looking downstream from Bredwardine bridge. Between the trees is Bredwardine vicarage, built in 1805 and sitting on the same terrace above the Wye as the parish church. These terraces may be the site of a vineyard which was recorded as adjacent to the castle in the 13th century. Reverend Francis Kilvert lived in the vicarage from 1877-9 and his diary makes many references to the site.

This was a lovely quiet, double bed room, bathroom, open-plan kitchen, dinning room, living building. The host was welcoming and then left us to be private. Parking is free and easy. Outside dinning spots.
