“Much as I would love to tell you how good the Clacks was I cannot. It looks good in the pictures and looks good from outside. Unfortunately due to some mix up I could not gain access, this after a 200 mile drive. I phoned the owner, luckily his number was in the details, and he told me The Clacks will remain shut for months and that hotels.com had not notified him of any booking. “The place was good with basic furnishings. Scandi means Ikea. Internet worked well. It was well located in the centre of Linlithgow which is close to Edinburgh and a lovely town. “My husband and I stayed at this lovely apartment for 6 nights while visiting Scotland. Very clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, and hosts provided some basic foods for breakfast (coffee, eggs, bread and juice) . Stirling and Doune castles are a must. Not suitable for people with mobility problems, as there are quite a few stairs.”

“Location of Bothwell Court is fantastic. In St Leonards down the road from the supermarket and train station. Dunfermline town centre a short stroll away too. “The Kist is one of the most beautiful accommodations, we‘ve ever been. Surrounded by fields & hills, with a lot of animals around you, it is very quiet. On the other hand the next greater town (Stirling) is not far away and from there you can travel by train very easy and fast to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Stirling is also worth visiting. The accommodation is very nice and equipped and Ilona and her husband are very helpful landlords. I hope, we will come back one day!”
