“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

“We have stayed here 4 times for overnight stops. Everything is lovely and clean, staff, for the most part are pleasant and professional - I say for the most part - on our latest visit, we ordered a wine spritzer and specified soda, not lemonade and a half pint of pepsi. We got a spritzer with lemonade and a full pint of pepsi but it was soon sorted. We have had 4 different rooms out of the 5 that there are, and only one of them was what I would class as too small even for a standard...

“On arrival we were told the boiler wasn't working so no hot water or heating, however we were moved into another room which did have heating and electric showers after half an hour so no issues there. Breakfast was lovely and surrounding area great for walking etc”

“Lovely comfortable room. We were able to check in early and given clear instructions to do this. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and it was excellent. We also had dinner the evening we arrived and really enjoyed the varied and interesting menu.”
