After some pretty mixed weather earlier in the holidays it was pleasing that you had some much warmer and sunnier days. Getting together with family is such a special time and we are glad the accommodation suited you all - and the dogs!

Thank you for your review. It was lovely to read that you enjoyed the space and our unique location. What a shame that the weather was not at all kind to you during your stay. The cottage is marketed as a farmhouse (as it once was) and our aim is to reflect this in the choice of furniture and fittings. However, we do try to get the right balance between tradition and functionality with the range cooker and dishwasher being less than 2 years old and the American style fridge freezer and 55 inch TV installed as replacements this Spring. In order to consider the bathing needs of our guests, we did take the decision to fit a bath with a power shower over it, basin and toilet in one of the en suite bedrooms. Families with small children do like the option of having a bath for them. This does take up more room than the alternative of a shower but we do find that families with small children like the option of having a bath. As one of your group mentioned, the communal laundry room was in constant use by guests in our cottages during the week you were here and we do ask that the two washing machines and two tumble dryers are left clean for the next user. Disinfectant spray and operation-theatre grade sanitised wipes are provided for guests to use. We are sorry if you found it was not as clean as you would like. Likewise we apologise for the sofas not being moved during our changeover cleaning. Unfortunately we do not always have time between guests leaving and others arriving to move the heavy sofas but do our best to ensure this happens whenever we can. Regrettably the plumber who came the day after we reported it hoped the fix he did would solve the problem as the part he brought did not fit. On hearing this did not hold, he came back with the correct part to replace the whole unit.
