“What a great place to vacation! Beautiful and rustic. The cabin is cozy and Jordan supplied so many lovely touches to make it even better. Great spot to relax and enjoy stunning views. The bed was super comfortable and the shower is amazing. The kitchen was well supplied, and we easily made meals there. We will be back, hopefully, soon!”

“We had a great time at the cabin! The cabin and outbuildings were very clean. The sheets were soft, and each bed had 2 nice pillows. Well-stocked kitchen and plenty of firewood and washing water. The host was very easy to communicate with and helped us with our questions before and during the stay. We had a tent next to the cabin and there was plenty of room. “We really enjoyed our time at the Maple Point hideout. The setting is peaceful and secluded. The view of the bay is gorgeous. We loved taking the paddleboat out to explore a couple of the small islands nearby. We saw bald eagles!The cabin itself had everything we needed and then some. Screened porch had a wonderful view. “We had such a lovely stay! When I say this is the cleanest and most well kept homes I’ve ever stayed in, it’s not an exaggeration. And I’ve stayed at a lot of vrbo homes. The bit tub was so nice, the basement for the kids was amazing. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the blackstone was used daily on our stay with easy clean up. “We had a great time during our stay at the Rustic Moose! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed for our 2 night stay. The pictures don’t do the beach area justice- beautiful sand and no people in sight. Felt like we had a mile of coastline all to ourselves. “We enjoyed the bunkhouse and it's quiet and peaceful rustic setting both inside and out. It was the perfect location for what we wanted to do (hike bike and relax). The sandy roads were not ideal for our biking but we managed to find some semi paved rds, the places we hiked were perfect as was the bonus trip to the Shipwreck museum and miles of walking along the shore of Lake Superior. Our biggest complaint was the mosquitos! We could not seem to get away from them!! Next time we would consider...

“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”
