We treated ourselves to a two night stay, a chance to relax after a period spent dealing with serious health issues.
The lady on reception was very pleasant and helpful and remembered our names throughout the stay.
Our room was clean and comfortable, everything you'd hope it would be.
We didn't use the spa facilities, but the pool and jacuzzi area was good, and very quiet at around three to four o'clock.
Night one we ate in the Thai restaurant; food, service and atmosphere all good. Second night we were in the Cambium restaurant, which doubles as the breakfast room. The menu was quite restricted, and we should have asked for, or been offered, the all day menu, which is more extensive. But the meal we had was fine.
Breakfast is a free buffet, or a paid for cooked option. We tried both, no complaints.
This is not a cheap hotel, but the prices for additional food and drinks was not excessive. A couple of G and T's was £16.60, which I thought was reasonable.
The hotel is ideally situated for access to the New Forest, Lymington, Lyndhurst, Beaulieu and the coast, even the Isle of Wight.
Finally, a shout out to the hotel staff. Even the younger ones were, without exception, friendly, polite, and helpful, and made us feel like valued customers.
We will stay here again I hope, and there is even a loyalty card, offering the chance of a free one night stay with breakfast!
