Quiet, clean and comfortable

A welcome retreat from the hectic pace of work life. Nice lot and screen porch to enjoy the evenings. Close to the beach and good restaurants. Would stay again.

Great Stay

The house is older, but was cleaned well. Provided an enjoyable stay. Would return. Convenient location. I would have appreciated it if the kitchen drawers were a little more organized/less cluttered.

Island Pines rental home

Love Jekyll Island- the moss covered oaks, quiet beach options, bike paths, Sea Turtle Center and Historic district. It had been 9 years since we had been in the area so pleasantly surprised by the Village area with the Westin (Starbucks!), conference center, shops and restaurant options. Rental homes primarily in older quiet neighborhoods with easy beach access. The region has updated stairs and beach access all along the northeast shore. We stayed near the Brice and Barron St access sites so never had difficulty even during high tide but the beach gets more narrow the further north one goes and high tide comes up to the stairs. Driftwood beach was our favorite- great sunset photos. Older home rental reminded me of grandparents brick ranch home 50 years ago. It had potential if owners would invest in some much needed flooring, cabinet, bedroom and bath upgrades. Large screened in porch but no comfortable chairs to relax in, unfortunately. Great location though in terms of beach and bike path access.

Enjoyed stay and description accurate. Drive way could use some work. Bathroom very small. Comfortable and good beds. Fun to see the deer calmly eating in the backyard. Appreciated the hoses to clean off sand on feet.

This property was perfect for what we needed. Great screened in porch right off the kitchen and kitchen was laid out great for Thanksgiving cooking. Will definitely rent again! Maybe next time the weather will cooperate! Lol

Excellent getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was spotless. The central location was perfect. You can walk out the door and have your toes in the ocean in 4 minutes. Deer visited the yard daily. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Special thanks to Steve and Carol for allowing others to enjoy their property.

Beautiful neighborhood

Each night the deer visited us after dinner. We found the location central to everything. House was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be a new queen mattress, it was very uncomfortable. Enjoyed our stay

Amazing property on Jekyll!

This was a fantastic place to stay for our week on the island. The property itself was excellent. We also used this as a work-remotely-for-the-week base of operations and it had plenty of space, the technology was flawless and it was very accommodating. Our kids loved the deer that came into the yard every morning and evening and the neighborhood, with close beach access and residential streets, provided so much joy for our week. I would highly recommend this property for a family stay! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!!!

Nice home, great island

Island Pines is a great option for a modest sized family on a budget. The location is fine (a couple blocks to the beach) and the community is nice. Prices on the island are understandably higher than average, so bring your own groceries from the mainland if you are cost conscious.
