Location :
Conveniently located just minutes away from the popular Nantahala Outdoor Center sits the beautiful Above the Clouds cabin. The area around the cabin is minimally developed and retains a peaceful and natural setting. Experience the World famous White Water Rafting and zip line excursions within the Nantahala Gorge or partake in one of the delicious restaurant options over at the Outdoor Center for some real culinary enjoyment. You can reach the Almond Boat Dock on Fontana Lake for some great swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing options in about 10 minutes, or enjoy some amazing Mountain Biking at the prominent Tsali Recreation Center located approximately 15 minutes away. The charming town of Bryson City is a scenic 25 minutes drive away from this cabin where you can enjoy some wonderful local shops, restaurants, and breweries or check out the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad train depot all located in downtown Bryson City. You can also access the Deep Creek entrance into the GSMNP while in town, that is packed with great hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls, and in the Spring and Summer months, excellent mountain tubing! The Harrahs Casino, Oconaluftee River hiking trails & tubing, the popular Mingo & Soco waterfalls, and the Sequoyah National Golf Course are all located about 35 minutes away in Cherokee, NC.

Access road :
Cars and Most All vehicles. The roads to this cabin are not considered 'Motorcycle Friendly'.

Exterior :
Appropriately named, this cabin will have you feeling like you are soaring up Above the Clouds with endless Smoky Mountain views! The cabin provides a spacious deck that perfectly showcases the stunning views and is furnished with plenty of comfortable seating options for your observation pleasure. The deck is also equipped with a gas grill and wonderful outdoor dining table with seating for 6. Down in the yard there is a beautiful stone fire pit with adirondack chairs surrounding and a covered hot tub that sits adjacent.
