“Kind staff and comfy bed. Yes, the building and rooms are older, but they were clean, and that's what really matters at the end of the day. I'm traveling to Greensboro every weekend for the rest of the month and I plan on booking a room for each visit. Can't beat the price, and the room has everything you need. ”

“Beautiful house with great access to the lake. The neighbors were very friendly. The community boat ramp is not very good at all. I won't use it again. There is a public ramp (Crosby's) located about 10 miles by car and approximately 1 mile by boat, which is very nice. If you are parking a truck and boat trailer at the Cabin, you must be an expert at backing a trailer, as it is very tight.”

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We had to adjust the check-in/out dates, which they did immediately with no questions. Once they realized we had dogs, they gave us a room right by the side door on the first floor which made potty trips SO simple. We had one issue with the heating unit, but they responded quickly and we've had no further issues. And my favorite thing - the water pressure was amazing and the hot water seemed endless. Great stay.”
