“Mandala boutique hotel sits in beautiful grounds with multiple villas each feeling quiet and private. We were upgraded to a villa with a plunge pool which was a great start to our stay. Being so close to the natural environment was a lovely experience as was the external bathroom-shower. Lee and Jorge were very welcoming and responsive to all our enquiries. “Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. “The good: This is an excellent hotel with spectacular views, friendly staff, and a zen atmosphere. The bad: There is 1.8 KM of unpaved steep rocky road before you get to the gate and another kilometer before getting to the property. This is bad enough that we decided to give up 2 prepaid nights and leave early despite having a 2WD SUV (To their credit, hotel credit us for our incidentals, which accounted for part of the nightly rate). “This was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! The view is absolutely breathtaking in person, with the most diverse species of birds singing beautiful songs and flying all around the area. The suite was extremely clean and the pool was completely private, just for our unit. It was great to have AC and private parking.
