I don’t usually write complaints, but I was genuinely disappointed with my recent stay.
The Expedia listing mentioned gym access nearby, which influenced our booking. Only after full payment did we learn there was no gym nor any hotel partnership—just construction. My colleague and I had to pay $120 USD out of pocket to access a gym for three days.
For two nights, I couldn’t sleep due to a loud water pump near my room. When I raised the issue, I was simply told I was “lucky” it would stop the next day—after already losing two nights of rest.
On our last day, we asked for a late checkout (just one extra hour) and offered several alternatives, but staff refused without flexibility.
For a boutique hotel, this experience fell well below expectations in both comfort and service. I won’t be returning, but I do believe compensation is warranted given the inconvenience.
