Hotel vicino a Buffalo Creek Greenway - Smithfield

“Employee at check-in was super friendly. Quick check-in, too. Only one elevator. Room was ok. The beds were soooo small. Not really queen size at all, more like doubles. Carpet in room looked dirty simply because of the color, and it was actually dirty based on the bottoms of our socks. Mini fridge wasn’t even plugged in when we got there. Bathroom was big, towels were decent too. Breakfast room was crowded with truckers at 6:15- only annoying because Expedia touted this as a family hotel, but...

“Property had no frills. Went to breakfast 20 minutes before closing and all left was bagels. Beds were ok. Elevator was slow. But the price was right, and location good. ”

“This was a great place for us to stay driving home up I95. The hotel is just off the highway. The rooms and all the decor looks very new and fresh. Breakfast was full and varied and included. The room was large and comfy. There is a nice indoor pool but was not heated (!) and a gym. ”

“Positives: -Beautiful decor in lobby. -Clean room. -Good AC/heat temperature control in room. Negatives: -Problem with shower temperature control (only scalding hot or no water at all - seemed to be no cold water available). -Lackluster pool and gym. -Lackluster breakfast, really not worth it. ”

“This hotel is in such poor condition! The amenities weren't working. Both the pool and the elevator were out of service. Our bedding had cigarette holes, and the hallway carpets were soiled filthy. And we even saw a roach in our room.”

“It’s a truck stop so it’s meant to be a place just to stop and sleep. For that it serves its purpose check in was quick and simple the man was friendly enough. The bathroom was in complete shambles. Holes in the wall pipes falling out rust black mold things taped over the bath was rigged up to shower only and we needed a bath. The shower pressure was so low it took forever to wash. The bed was comfy enough and the noise level was extremely high just bring earplugs if your a light sleeper. The...

“This is an econolodge. Place is old, dirty, run down. NO where near the value for what you pay for a room”

“Friendly staff, good water pressure, working tv, bigger than expected fridge, and quiet for being next to the I-95 highway. But the room we had was poorly lit so it was hard to know how clean the floor and bed spread were since we arrived late at night. The room also had a strange odor that compelled us to prop open the door to try to air it out. The water at the sink only ran hot (not even warm) so washing up was uncomfortable. We will not be returning.”
