“Roca Golf hotel is in a lovely location but it is poor value for money. Perhaps they rely too much on people being close to the golf course. Anyway, the pool water is too opaque and I could not swim in it, but I chose Roca because of its pool and location. Either the chemicals used to clean it are not the best because the water is almost milky white. And prices at the hotel are exorbitant. I paid US$8.33 for a single, small scoop of ice-cream. “The best place to stay when in Bujumbura. Located in the hills overlooking the city centre. Very safe. Very big rooms with excellent air conditioning. Ask for room with a view of lake Tanganyika in the distance. Very pleasant restaurant with nice breakfast buffet. Very pleasant swimming pool with large parasols.”
