“I was given a handicapped-accessible room even though I did not request one. As a tall person, the low sink was uncomfortable and difficult to use. The cleanliness was the biggest issue. After using the shower, I wiped down the floor with a towel, and the towel came away black with dirt. After seeing that, I started wearing flip-flops in the bathroom. “Beautiful room with great view of the lake, church and southern alps at Lake Tepako. Very modern, well furnished, and warm for our winter stay. Very close to cafes and restaurants. We stayed two nights for our visit and Heli hike to Mt Cook. Would definitely stay again.”

“After a long journey, arrived to a room that had not been cleaned from last guests. Called owner to complain and he offered us the room next door which was prepared fro new guests. We accepted but felt the room wasn’t as clean as it should be. We asked for a discount but was refused. I felt it was overpriced. ”
