"I was greeted and given a glass of water whilst waiting - as I had walked from the train station with a suitcase. I was then shown up to my room and the host explained clearly about how to use the key/key fob and what time I would need to use the key for the front door when they close it at night. The carpets are beautifully deep and nice to walk on and the hotel has only just been decorated so everything is new. The en-suite bathroom is beautiful and the shower works well. "Definitely not luxury as advertised, but for the price I wasnt expecting it to be. Essam was lovely, great host! I would say the mattress in room 4 needs replacing as it completely sinks to the middle, making it quite uncomfortable. Other than that the room gave us exactly what we needed. Short walk in to the centre for a concert and somewhere to rest! "

"The Covenstead is a most unusual and lovely place to stay in heart of Glastonbury close to the Abbey ruins. The hotel is furnished with a unique and fascinating collection of antiques and artifacts throughout, and guests have access to several common areas on the ground floor as well as a pretty garden. Individual rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The friendly staff are most welcoming and work very hard to accommodate guests needs, as well as serve breakfasts...

"I stayed for 2 nights. I was comfortable in the standard double. The breakfast was very nice, you get to select what you want from a tick list rather than have a set menu. Driving my car down the side of the house to the car park was a toe curler but I did it ;) situated very close to the beach and hub of WsM. I'd recommend staying here."
