Entra in questo cottage accogliente e preparati per rilassarsi o godersi le avventure che il fiume e le montagne hanno da offrire ... tubing, kayak, pesca e trekking! Questa casa è pulita, confortevole e ben tenuta con pavimenti in pino originale e soffitti a perlina. Dispone di due camere da letto e un bagno completo e una cucina completamente attrezzata e lavanderia. Un comodo letto doppio di qualità pieghevole è previsto per consentire di dormire per cinque. Due unità finestra mantengono questa casa confortevole in estate. C'è da mangiare per cinque all'interno o consumare i pasti sull'incredibile fiume proprio dal ponte. Questa casa ha una zona di spiaggia in riva al fiume, con un pozzo del fuoco, che fanno per notti d'estate dolci e ricordi incredibili. I proprietari di questa casa hanno lasciato un kayak e un paio di tubi per divertirsi mentre si rimane. Facilmente accessibile, questa proprietà si affaccia su una strada e una vista sulle montagne, ma è estremamente silenziosa e privata nella parte posteriore. Ha anche un cortile recintato per gli animali domestici. Le città di Burnsville e Spruce Pine, Mt Mitchell State Park e il campo da golf, Carolina Hemlock, cascate e sentieri sono a dieci-trenta minuti di macchina, mentre Asheville, Grandfather Mountain e Blowing Rock sono tutte facili gite di un giorno. Nice but not what we ordered

They property was very clean but also very small. One bedroom and bathroom were separate from the main house but this worked out fine for the two of us. We found out two days before our trip that our rental home had something wrong with it and we couldn’t stay there. They offered this home as its replacement. Online it says it has a fenced backyard and also you can see the fence in some of the pictures so we accepted the replacement home. This was important to us as we were bringing our two dogs. The welcome email from the property manager also stated that it had a fenced backyard but sadly it did not.This made a trip with the dogs very difficult and they tried saying that it wasn’t advertised that way but I took pictures of all our documentation and sent it to them but they offered no help or refund. The drive to the home is very dangerous as a lot of the road was washed out and we almost turned back it was so bad. We did find an alternative route home but it was a longer route. Maybe some day after repairing the road it will be safe but currently it is very unsafe. All in all we had a decent trip but if I had it to do over I would have just canceled.

Beautiful river property

The best thing about this house was the river! Loved sitting on the deck enjoying the river. House was very clean. Noise from the road was disconcerting— cars fly down that road. Regardless of the noise, still enjoyed the stay.

Mountain vacay

Property deck right over South Toe River and water was crystal clear. Crystal, do you hear me? We went tubing in the water and went on local day trips to Mt Mitchell and hiking to see Roaring Fork Falls (not a bad hike, Grandma was able to do but bring a chair& a walking stick if traveling with grandparents!)) and of course went to Emerald Village Museum and did gem mining. Do not believe Google and try to see Roaring spout falls, that is on private property but at least homeowners were good sports! Weather cooperated most of the week so that was nice too! 80 is a busy road but the river drowned out traffic sounds. Really liked the deck & steps down to firepit & river(lots of railing, thanks! Mother nature visits with deer, chipmunks, hummingbirds & ducks. Lots of local artists to see wares and plenty of local antiquing/consignment places to chose from. Mayland Earth to sky planetarium is a good visit, is one of the 3 'dark sky' locations in nc (didn't know that in the slightest)..look them up online and buy tickets in advance..is a really good program too, the peeps there truly love what they do and it shows! Maples is an awesome place to get a coffee & sweet knosh and you mos def need to go to Pig & Grits in Burnsville (if there had been anything left on my plate, i would have licked it!). Micaville Outpost is a lovely shop to see local art and any missing hiking supplies! Management was very quick about answering any questions/very helpful. Was a lovely stay!

N. Carolina Vacation

Our trip to North Carolina was great. We planned our location because of the proximity to Asheville and Johnson City TN to visit with family in both locations. The VRBO was peaceful along the river and was a great location for us.

River's Edge in Burnsville, NC

This place was just what we were looking for. We especially appreciated the fenced property so our dog didn't have to be leashed!! We had the most relaxing time. The shade, river, privacy, peace was EXCEPTIONAL! We DEF plan on returning! THANK YOU!

Lovely property; close to waterfalls and the parkway

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The River’s Edge Cabin had a lovely view on both sides of the property. It was in close proximity to the parkway, waterfalls, etc. Burnsville, Spruce Pines, and Micaville were all fun places to venture. The river in the backyard can’t be beat. The only downside is the road is super close and people go extremely fast on highway 80 on that particular stretch. I’d recommend this property for folks with older children only. The gates do lock well but it is still a bit nerve racking with young children. The home was well stocked and was great for a week away. The host was also very responsive.

Relax right on the river

Rivers Edge home is a great place to stay ! Very comfortable, quiet, and well supplied kitchen. Easy access to great hiking, fishing . Highly recommend.

The Ideal Writer's Retreat: Quiet, Comfortable, and Dog-Friendly

If you're looking for a spot that hits the sweet spot between seclusion and comfort, this riverfront cabin nails it. Perfect for those of us dragging along our laptops and our dogs, the place offers up high-speed Wi-Fi, warm, sunny days, cool nights, and a fully fenced-in yard—ideal for both productivity and relaxation. The timing couldn't be better if you aim for a writer's retreat during the shoulder season; it's like you've got the whole area to yourself. The cabin's layout is practical and straightforward: an open floor plan, a mudroom for stashing dog bowls and muddy boots, plus a laundry area. The kitchen's equipped with what you need for a stay — just a heads-up, there's no traditional oven, but a convection microwave and a slow cooker fill in just fine. Sleeping arrangements are cozy, with two bedrooms that share a bathroom. It might seem tight, but the shower's surprisingly roomy and well-stocked. The real standout, though, is the back deck. It overlooks the river, where the sound of running water from small "rapids" nearby is a constant backdrop. They've recently improved the path to the riverbank, making it easy to enjoy up close. Honestly, it's a place I'd return to without a second thought. Great for getting away, getting work done, or just getting some peace with your pups by your side.

Cozy on the River

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location this past weekend and the host was very accommodating and kind! The view on the porch was amazing and so relaxing. The house felt cozy like home and had all the accommodations that I needed. I definitely look forward to staying here again and next time when it's warmed up so I can hop in the river.

Burnsville in Oct!

The property was very clean and in a great location between Mount Mitchell & Celo/Burnsville & Spruce Pine. It had a fenced in yard & private access to the river which was AMAZING! The property management team was communicative during the entire stay as well. We will definitely be back soon!

Just what we needed

Not perfect but perfectly suitable. It is situated a little too close to main road, so there are road noises, but super easy access well makes up for that. We would most certainly choose to stay there again.

The overall impression of the property and surrounding area was depressed. Had to drive to hiking areas and there were no local charming towns. Home was in bad need of "freshening up". Floors uneven, walls not completely painted, etc... Interestingly enough there were plenty of cookie sheets, but no oven. Foos ball provided.
