Disappointing stay, unpleasant sewage smell and poor value
Unfortunately, my experience at Nuri Hotel was very disappointing. The only consistently positive aspect was the friendly and polite staff.
The biggest issue was the strong sewage smell in the room, particularly in the bathroom. At times, it was unbearable, especially when the weather became warmer and the air conditioning wasn’t running.
I had booked a Deluxe Room, but the standard was nowhere near what I would consider deluxe accommodation. The amenities were adequate, but the overall room quality was disappointing.
To the hotel’s credit, they upgraded me to a Premium Room at no additional charge for the remainder of my stay. However, even the Premium Room felt like a very basic hotel room by Australian standards.
I also requested a refund for the remaining 11 nights of my booking, offering to pay for two nights despite the problems. Unfortunately, the hotel was unwilling to accommodate this request.
The complimentary upgrade and the kindness of the staff are the only reasons I’m giving this hotel two stars rather than one. Overall, I would not recommend it, particularly for an extended stay.
