Spacious 5-bedroom Mountain Retreat in Poconos with FREE access to Ski slope

The Space

Welcome! We are pleased to have you as our guests! We hope you'll find this mountain home retreat to be the cool and calm escape that we have enjoyed, whether you want to temporarily leave bustling city life or need an escape from your other home. We hope these pointers will answer any questions you have during your stay.

Parking

Feel free to utilize both the driveway parking and the roadside parking just in front of the property. Please note that backing down the driveway to get out is a little tricky; please use caution.

Internet

We have Blue Ridge internet with a robust router which provides WIFI access throughout the house on all levels. We will provide you with the network and password codes in the welcome pack.

Hot Water

We have a standard size residential hot water heater in the basement laundry room. Generally, this will provide enough hot water for 30 minutes of continuous shower time. If the water cools down, just wait 30 minutes for the water to heat up again before re-using.

Grill

To turn on the grill, simply turn on the propane tank (counterclockwise) underneath the grill and fire up the burners. When grilling is complete, please scrub the grills with the brush provided and turn the propane tank to the closed position (clockwise).

Fireplace

The fireplace is a real wood-burning fireplace. Please double-check to make sure the chimney flue is in the open position before lighting the fire. There is a knob just above the fireplace opening to control the flue. When retiring for the night and all other times that the fireplace is not in use, please make sure to close the metal screen curtains and the glass fireplace doors. Also, prior to leaving, please make sure to close the chimney flue. Please note that we will not provide wood. Guests are responsible for providing wood. There are many places locally to buy bundles of wood or Duraflame logs.

Television

There is one television in the main floor and the loft. Please make sure to keep the remotes in the designated spots after finished using.

Sleeping Accommodations

This 5-bedroom house has a Queen Sized Bed in each room with linens and blankets provided. There are some additional blankets and pillows in the linen closet if required. The house accommodates 10 people reasonably.

Deck Furniture

On the second floor, we have outdoor furniture that stays out during all seasons. Please make sure to keep clean.

Garden

Over the years, we have spent some time creating a garden on the side of the deck and in the front of the house. Please be mindful of them so we can continue to enjoy fresh blooms every year!

Firepit

There is an outdoor firepit which you may use. It is to the left of the house. You will see a trail that goes up the mountain from the lower deck.

Community Amenities

The home is located inside the Saw Creek Estate Community. Passes will be provided to you to access amenities. These include indoor/outdoor pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, tennis courts (including pickleball), restaurant on premises, winter ski slope.

Pets

Pets are strictly not allowed unless they service animals. Please note that there are a variety of animals in Saw Creek such as deer, bears, coyotes, foxes, and snakes. In general, they keep to themselves. Please take care of your furry friends with this in mind.

A Note on Weather

As is typical in a mountain setting, there are occasionally spontaneous downpours that may come and go for 10 minutes or be sustained for longer periods. Please keep this in mind if you are relaxing on the decks or sitting outside by the fire pit.
