  • Beach Retreat è un ampio casolare completamente ristrutturato, con spazio per ospitare fino a 9 persone. Godetevi la vista sul mare dal ponte lato dell'oceano e sfruttare la breve passeggiata per l'accesso alla spiaggia. Dotato di quattro camere da letto di cui tre maestri con letti king size, bagni completi e accesso al ponte e una con un letto a castello e rotelle e una zona den separata. Cucina, sala da pranzo e soggiorno con vista sull'oceano offrono un bel spazio per incontri di gruppo.

Another successful vacay week in Buxton

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always we enjoyed our week at the beach. This years highlights included a little more rain than usual and extra entertainment aka dredging operations. We were very fortunate that our part of the beach was not taken over until our departure day so only had to deal with unusually dirty water when the pipes were wide open. This is our 5th season at Lighthouse View and our 2nd at Beach Retreat. Appreciate the staff who were quick to respond to AC dilemma. Highly recommend location and value as always.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The roads were closed and we could not get there. I have still not heard from the insurance. I am very upset with this trip. No one has let me know anything. I can not answer this survey about the conditions of the house as the coastal storm prevented me from getting there. When you are on vacation, you cannot wait to have roads open up. Townhouses were falling into the ocean at Buxton.

Reviewer Comments: it was fabulous being at OBX - the house was at a great location - was saddened that one house was condemned by a recent storm and hope others will not be. Keeping the kitchen so well stocked that we did not really need to bring our stuff. I would come back again during off season.

The Beach Retreat cottage was ready for us, all clean and tidy, our home away from home. I would love to be able to find an armchair like the one in the living room! The kids have dubbed it “mom’s chair”. The location is great. The group of kids we take down, my sons and their friends, love that there is good eating, great breakfast goodies, groceries, and shopping within walking distance. The beach is great as is the pool and a big favorite is the hot tub time in the evening before calling it a night! We have been going down for years now and love it every year. We come home relaxed and we’ll fed. The restaurants are fantastic. The thing that always surprises me is that despite the fact that we’re only there once a year, folks remember you! Everyone is so friendly! If you’re looking for a great, really nice, comfortable, and affordable place to stay, this is it. The office staff is very helpful with whatever you might need. Give it a try. You’ll like it!

We have stayed in all of the various housing options at Lighthouse but Beach Retreat 293 gets 5 stars! The staff is friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Becky at the front desk for providing excellent customer service. Thank you for a clean, affordable and perfect setting to escape for a week of sun, sand and family memories. We look forward to making lots more memories for years to come. Buxton and Lighthouse View should be on everyone's list.

Beautiful location!

Stay was great! Enjoyed the beach house and convenience of the private beach and community pool. Beach house was the standard clean and had all the kitchen appliances you could need. There is a small roach problem on the balcony and outside and 1-2 ventured into the house but nothing crazy. TV in one of the bedrooms had a slight glitch probably an easy fix we didn’t complain because my daughter watched tv in the living room. But overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Good location, right near the beach

The cleanliness of the property was just ok. The cleaning service crew needs to do a better job. We had issues with getting the TV in the main living room area to work. After 30 min of trying multiple things we finally got it. However, the TV’s in the bedrooms only had one channel to watch. The house was in a decent location and big enough for my family of 7. The beach was gorgeous and not crowded. Very short walk to the beach. View from balcony was great. There are a lot of stairs so not ideal for my elderly grandmother. Keep this in mind if you are traveling with someone that may have issues with stairs. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans and silverware. If you plan on fixing coffee or food you will need to bring coffee filters and anything else you will need. Overall the property was decent but I would prefer it to be much cleaner.

The house wasn't pink like in the picture! That should be changed or updated but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay at the beach!!
