Questo accogliente cottage può ospitare comodamente 4 persone più 2 supplementari

La Cattedrale delle Cime è semplicemente una magnifica chiesa che si erge fieramente ai margini del villaggio. L'orologio ha un suono che a noi sembra delizioso e le campane suonano particolarmente il venerdì sera, deve essere la notte di pratica. È possibile iniziare molte belle passeggiate dalla nostra porta di casa senza andare da nessuna parte in macchina, ma in alternativa sei così vicino a uno dei luoghi più belli del Peak District - il Monsal Trail, che è un traffico libero 8. 5 miglia per carrozzina ex vecchia ferrovia linea. I panorami sono mozzafiato e questi sono a soli 5 minuti di distanza in auto.

Solo una vicinanza ideale a tutti i luoghi preferiti di Nigel per la sua fotografia di paesaggio. Ora ci vuole letteralmente 15-20 minuti per arrivare in posizione pronta per la rottura dell'alba al contrario di 1. 5 ore. Gli stessi abitanti del villaggio sono stati davvero accoglienti. Il pub Horse & Jockey è a circa 150 passi dalla nostra porta sul retro, il che significa che ora posso bere un paio di drink. La fermata dell'autobus è molto vicino a noi quindi potrei entrare in Buxton / Bakewell / Castleton o andare a Sheffield o in molti altri posti tramite un autobus godendo le vedute della campagna sulla mia strada e ancora non dover guidare. Abbiamo un Cherry Tree Cafe letteralmente a due passi da noi e nel villaggio abbiamo una CO-OP appena ristrutturata, una macelleria familiare tradizionale, un panificio locale e naturalmente l'ufficio postale. Abbiamo quattro sale da tè tutte che servono ottimo cibo e un ristorante elegante per quell'occasione speciale. Senza dimenticare due fish & chip negozi il nostro preferito essendo Mr Elliotts e 4 pub tutti raggiungibili a piedi.

PULITO, CONFORTEVOLE, AFFASCINANTE ANCORA CONTEMPORANEO E COMPLETAMENTE ristrutturato cottage nel 2016. Log bruciatore e riscaldamento centralizzato in tutto. Pavimenti piastrellati al piano terra.

CORTILE è sicuro e esposto a sud con spazio per cenare all'aperto e rilassarsi nelle nostre sedie a sdraio tradizionali e guardare il mondo andare in giro.

CUCINA completamente attrezzata con posti a sedere per un massimo di 6 persone. Apparecchi integrali con forno elettrico e piano cottura in vetroceramica. Forno a microonde, tostapane, bollitore, lavastoviglie, lavatrice / asciugatrice, frigorifero con congelatore e un chicco JURA per macchina da caffè. Fornello lento. Dyson Stick. Fresh, clean and charming!

Our stay at TOTS was perfect. Everything is fresh, clean and charming! Julie has thought of everything you might need, I’ve never stayed at a better equipped rental! We had our 4 month old grandson with us and there was everything we could need for him too. There were breakfast goodies and amazing coffee. The location is great for walking and exploring. Great restaurants within walking distance. Tideswell is just lovely!

Perfect Stay in Peak District

TOTS (The Old Toffee Shop) cottage is the perfect getaway. The owner Julie has thought of everything to make a warm welcome and cozy stay. It’s adorable inside with all modern aspects in every room. The village is so lovely….and full of very kind folks…and sheep, and cows. You’ll be so pleased you came! We were. And the biggest bonus of all was the driver (Darren, recommended by the owner) who picked us up at the airport and took us to all the best places around the area all the best places. I couldn’t have asked for a more divine vacation.

Weekend Break

TOTS is a very comfortable house right in the centre of Tideswell on the main street. Quite small but with everything you might need and lots of helpful information and thoughtful touches such as a demisting mirror in the shower room and a well equipped shower room in the small courtyard to clean dogs before entering the house. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Tideswell, together with a co-op, butcher, baker and an excellent second hand bookstore in a church. We would certainly be happy to return.

Everything was absolutely fine. There's even a shower room for the dog! Now and then, the traffic on the main road was noisy, which kept the dog awake on the terrace. But inside, we all couldn't hear the noise and were very relaxed.

Breathtaking!

Aside from the lovely village and perfect location, I have to say that as a seasoned traveller, both home and abroad, I have never found such a well presented, clean, stylish property. Neither have I seen such attention to detail and provision of equipment and thoughtful treats. If I was less thoughtful I would shout to everyone that they must stay here!!! But then I might not be able to get in 🤭

Tideswell TOTS

Excellent Location, within walking distance of 2 bakeries, numerous eateries, the Co-op and a delightful second-hand bookshop. Beautifully clean and all the furnishings were of the highest quality, there was absolutely everything you need. TOTS even has a small but perfectly formed courtyard for you to watch the world go by as you drink your morning coffee. Would revisit in a flash!

We stayed here over Christmas and Julie & Nigel went to every effort to make our stay personalised and cosy We loved the use of the multi fuel stove and basically hibernated!! Fantastic cottage and location

We loved staying at The Old Toffee Shop. Everything you could possibly need is catered for at the cottage and the quality of furnishing and comfort of the rooms is exceptional. Location is great and there are some lovely restaurants and coffee shop within walking distance. We had sandwiches and cakes for the Cherry Tree just across the square and also had dinner at the Merchant’s Yard which was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend choosing this accommodation as it has everything and with fantastic comfort, design and quality. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Absolutely beautiful cosy very clean cottage, furnished to a high standard, with everything thought of and included. Bottle of wine and cake upon arrival, comfy robes, amazing beds. Great Stay

Pics and description are thorough and accurate. For a village experience, TOTS was perfect. Small, but easily adequate for groups up to 4. Completely updated in all respects. Exceptionally clean. Kitchen well stocked with all the essentials. Location is in central Tideswell (a small charming village), accessible to all things "Peak" but also quiet for those nights at "home". Julie was a great communicator and all arrangements were great. No problem recommending.

The lovely TOTS

It is clear as soon as you walk-in that Julie and Nigel have put so much effort into making TOTS a really special cottage. It was perfect for our family of two adults, two children and two dogs. The decor is lovely and calming and the beds are very comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday in the Peaks with plenty of amazing walks straight from the door. There are also some good options for eating out locally in Tideswell and we would recommend High Nelly’s for breakfast/brunch, the H&D bistro also does great breakfasts and the takeaway curry they do on a Thursday was very good. We also ate at the Star Inn one evening - it’s a busy little place so best to book and the food was of a really high standard. We would definitely like to visit again - maybe in the winter next time to make use of the log burner! Thoroughly recommend TOTS and Julie was a great host.

Tremendous TOTS

A very well equipped home from home. Very comfortable beds and good location. Even though TOTS is in the centre of town the road becomes quiet in the evening. The outdoor space is great if the weather is good. It gets the sun in the morning for breakfast AND in the evening for the sundowners. We hope we will be back.

Escaping it all

The Old Toffee shop was a great place to stay for our weekend away with the kids. It was definitely a home from home, with those little extras which make the weekend special. Tideswell has everything a Peak District village can offer. We we definitely return!

The taffy shop cottage was unbelievably well appointed and remodeled. The village was very very nice people were unbelievably friendly. We had so much fun we wish we could’ve stayed longer and if our vacations take us back to this area we will definitely stay here again.
