    A luxury soundfront estate with panoramic views, and unmatched resort-style amenities including a private pool, fitness room and private dock.

    Croatan Ridge is a private, luxurious home that's genuinely what vacation dreams are made of. This waterfront home sits on the beautiful Pamlico Sound with direct access to the water via the private dock. The wraparound decks offer outstanding views of Hatteras Island. You can see the Atlantic Ocean, breathtaking sunsets, and even the remote Diamond Shoals Light Station when the weather is right. There are thoughtful details throughout, including custom cabinetry, furniture, and decor.

    The home boasts six primary bedrooms and two double bunk rooms. All bedrooms have deck access and either enjoy views of island live oaks or have gorgeous sound views. Elevator access is convenient to every level and excellent amenities can be found at every turn. The great room offers a high-end AV system and comfortable seating, where you can recline in front of the fireplace while looking out the windows to the Pamlico Sound. For cocktail hour, sit back and relax at the Surf Bar, with seating and a beverage refrigerator - the perfect place to socialize with friends and family. The gourmet kitchen will please even the most discerning chef, as it's decked out with the best double appliances and all the tools needed for the ultimate cooking and dining experience.

    The kids - and the kids at heart - will have a blast in the tower game room, which features a foosball table, a poker table, a stereo, an LCD TV and DVD player, and incredible views. A soundfront family room with a big-screen TV, a large table, and comfy seating and a soundfront fitness room with cardio equipment are also provided. The large, 20-foot by 40-foot private pool has two lounge chairs submerged in water along the wading area, which doubles as a shallow play area for smaller children. The oversized hot tub is built-in at the pool level, adjacent to the pool. Also poolside are a massive outdoor stone fireplace, a beautiful wooden bar, a gas grill, and a full bathroom - an excellent area for an alfresco dinner or pool party. The dock leading down to the sound provides access for kiteboarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, or crabbing. Lastly, there are an outdoor shower and board racks for your convenience.

    Things to Know:
    This home is no longer an event rental.
    Fireplaces are unavailable for use from the last week in April through the end of September.
    The private pool heat is available starting the last week of April. The pool will open seasonally from 04/26/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
    The hot tub is open seasonally from April through October 6.
    You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Sound Fun

We had stayed there before and loved it, this year we brought down 2 jet ski’s for the boys 6 grand sons and the dads took turns as well. The weather was ideal and as always the home was perfect. I’d like to thank the owner of the home opening it up to us and the three generations that were able to enjoy a super week on the sound.

Unforgettable Vacation

Our 3 generation family of 20 had a fabulous time at this house. The kitchen was large and double everything was a huge bonus. The kids had a blast in the pool and playing in the house. The large family room sat the whole family comfortably. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing

This home has everything possible needed for a perfect vacation- the kitchen is extremely well stocked, the house was spotless and the views endless. Would love to book again unfortunately the extra fees Vacsa has added into the rental price makes it unreasonable.

Amazing

Amazing house, amazing vacation! Pool was massive. Sound was great (only about 1.5 ft deep max). Views were the best. Elevator made the massive house more accessible. Only downside was how far out of "civilization" you are. If it wasn't so expensive, we would be back every year!

We absolutely loved the location of LV2KITE. Being right on the water and able to wake up and see...

We absolutely loved the location of LV2KITE. Being right on the water and able to wake up and see the sound from in bed was amazing. The pool was great and watching the sunset from the hot tub was beautiful! We caught lots of fish right in our backyard. We loved this property and are thinking about renting it again next summer. We absolutely loved this home! We enjoyed the amazing views from the covered deck area each morning and evening. The home is designed with comfort in mind and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It`s a quick walk to the pier on the sound and our kids enjoyed putting their kayaks in at the dock right in the neighborhood. The beach is also very close to this home. I greatly appreciated the owner of the home calling to make sure everything was satisfactory while we were there. We have been coming to Outer Banks/Hatteras Island area for over 10 years and I would honestly say that this house was my favorite hands down! Great house not so great service

This was our second year renting this house. We loved it so decided to come back, that was even after they raised the rates by almost $1500 for same week. I had left a hit list of items last year that apparently was ignored. First of all for a house of this quality, there should be a working grill not one that had one of the burners not working and the others were mostly clogged with uneven heat, plus a lot of rust on it. Last year, they wheeled in a new grill for us as the gas line was rigged and not working. Apparently, that was taken away and we were left to deal with the one that should be replaced. $500 for a new grill, a good investment for future rentals. Pool water level was very low by day 2, so fortunately we are pool owners and realized that the filter was sucking air. I also informed them perhaps there was a leak. Not sure if it was serviced the day we arrived. Vacasa....I was worried right off the start when Outer Beaches sold to them. We had a bad experience two years ago and apparently things haven't changed. First of all, we could speak to no one about issues that we had at the house. I always had to text them and they said someone would be out. It took four days for a local person to come out. The top oven didn't heat up (same issue last year), the freezer was leaking water, the door handle fell off in main living area (same as last year) in addition to many other small things. Also, I had reached out specifically before we came down to ask if there was a blender (told no, but there were 3!), if there was a keurig (told no, but there was 1), if they had finally put the ice maker back in the upper bar area (told yes, but it was still a big hole). Basically I don't think they reached out to local management, or local management just didn't care. I love this house and all that it has to offer, but now I see that Vacasa has increased the rate again and added their charges of close to $1000 to the rental. I will most likely not being coming back again sadly. I will say we did get in the house by 1pm, so thankfully that was a surprise as they wouldn't let us get early check-in. The cleaning people were nice and told us the one drawer wouldn't open in kitchen, so we called management about that as I didn't want to get charged for something we didn't do. The most disappointing thing was just not being able to speak to someone. In the past Outer Beaches would be out same day or the next day. I as the lead renter, kept having to listen to others tell me what was wrong. Takes away from me enjoying my vacation.
