“The room was large and clean, the staff were all helpful and friendly. It was a great central location to enjoy beautiful northeast Iowa and all the quaint towns. They had a few nice areas; a big central balcony, a picnic area and breakfast area, for a group to gather. There were some run down areas: the parking lot, the fitness room and the game room. No elevator. The area does not offer great eating options.”

“Loved this beautiful Nest!!! Absolutely great location, accommodations and amenities. Hope to return. Guests need to be aware of ability needed for stairs leading to Unit and that beds include a great master kin-sized bed and 2 bunk beds. Easily accommodates 4.”

“Convenience was excellent. Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. I know it's difficult with a shared kitchen area to keep things clean. But it was definitely not in the best condition. Since we did not require the use of the kitchen, it didn't really affect us. Some of the rooms did smell a little musty. Also, with an older historic, building I know this is a difficult task to keep things fresh. Enjoyed my stay overall.”

“Love the location of this place with it being right downtown and close to a few places to eat. That being said, traffic can get a little loud! Comes as a warning that there are stairs…they are definitely more difficult when having to carry luggage up/down them, so take that into consideration if you’re bringing a lot. We were only there one night and our kids are old enough to help so it was fine. Not sure that the air was working great - would have liked it a little cooler while sleeping....

“Great location close to everything downtown Waukon has to offer. House was charming with modern kitchen updates with new appliances and the host even offered fresh frozen meals for purchase which, was a nice option that I’ve never seen at other VRBO’s. The house had a modern farmhouse appeal and was very charming. Would without question stay here again.”

“Wonderful!!! Super safe area, family friendly glamping and they have another unique cowboy cabin down the lane from the greenhouse. We plan to rent both units soon for a mini vacation! Met one of the very kind and informative hosts upon arrival, great communication and she addressed our needs as well as tips and tricks. Property was gorgeous and the greenhouse was adorable! Stocked with treats for our hikes around the area. Clean and cozy, they even had an umbrella in there for when it rains....

“We love Decorah for a weekend getaway from the Twin Cities and the Bluffside Gardens was the PERFECT place to stay. It was right off the trout run trail so we could go biking right from our room without having to drive anywhere. Easy access to downtown and the room was very spacious and clean. We will for sure be back next year!”

“It was so nice to have our own space so close to the college. The kitchenette allowed us to bring our own food & eat some quick meals in between activities.”

“This property was outstanding in every way. Location to the downtown was an easy walk with a grocery store only two blocks away. The home was very clean and inviting both inside and out. King beds in every bedroom were comfortable and had lots of pillows along with fresh linens and towels. Quiet and relaxing made for the perfect stay.”

“We enjoyed our stay for a fishing trip. Everything was great but we did have issues with getting hot water. Messaged host the night of but didn’t get a response until the next morning and weren’t able to have a hot shower. Everything else about the house was great.”
