“Siamo arrivati alla sera. Abbiamo sbagliato ad impostare il tom tom .abbiamo messo un paese vicino ma perche era scritto così nell'indirizzo. Un disastro. Però un signore in macchina vi ha accompagnati all'albergo! Tutto il bene di questo mondo a questo signore. Poi il colmo erano le ore 20 e loro non davano più la cena. Insomma siamo andati a letto on un tè e biscotti. Comunque poi alla fin tutto bene. Albergo un po lontano da Stansted.”

“The cricketers itself was very nice pub food was okay but nothing special, breakfast was good.
Our room (the best)was located in a converted bungalow over the road , on arrival i was handed rhe keys and told its over there!!
The room was clean but tired .there was no fridge to keep anything cool
The weather was extremely hot ,hottest on record, there was no air con , just a small fan in the room which was extremely hot , i had brought an additional fan with me as a precaution .

“We had a lovely stay at The Chalk Hare (end of June 2026). The staff were so friendly and the food great. The rooms were really lovely as were the amenities. The place is being upgraded shortly after a recent change of ownership which will no doubt just give it that extra star as some of the communal areas (like stair/hall carpets) were looking a bit tired. So should be looking fabulous very soon !”

“Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!).
Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!”

“Very nice country hotel in the countryside near Duxford IWM, reasonable rooms, beautiful old building, free parking. All fine except the shower temperature knob was stuck on "burning hot" and when I reported it to reception upon checking out I was told.. "it's the customers' fault, they keep forcing the knobs out". Had the response been "Sorry sir, we apologize" my overall opinion would have been different.”

“The hotel was a very pleasant surprise, with a small but comfortable and spotlessly clean room. The bathroom was very good, again spotless, with lovely towels, and an excellent shower.
Breakfast was cooked fresh, with reasonable choice, and very good service by pleasant staff. Indeed, all staff were very friendly and helpful.
Parking was free, which with the fairly central location in the city, was a big plus. I'd recommend this hotel without any hesitation.”

“The pub is friendly with good food and staff.
The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. ”
