From start to finish perfect in every way possible,Isolated in the Forest and perfect silence, surroundings and garden unbelievable and all comforts catered for by our splendid host Jorge and the little town Caminha a 15 minute drive was delightful for a morning coffee and Pastry and watch the world go by.

Nous remercions encore Vitoria et Jorge les propriétaires très très gentils. Ils sont à votre écoute et restent attentifs à vos besoins si nécessaire. Nous recommandons à tous cette pause dans un endroit paisible, tranquille et en surcroît un accord parfait avec la nature et l’eau (source et charmant petit ruisseau). En choisissant ce lieu de villégiature de vacances, vous ne vous tromperez pas. Super séjour.

Wir waren Anfang August für eine Woche dort. Es ist ein wunderschönes Anwesen auf einem sehr gepflegten Grundstück. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr einsam, man benötigt auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Auf dem Hinweg dachten wir, dass es nicht richtig sein könnte. Doch, ist es wirklich. Der Pool und der Bach sind toll. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Es ist halt kein Neubau. Jorge ist ein toller Gastgeber, der bei Fragen oder Problemen sofort kam. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The pictures does not do this place justice. It is unbelievable beautiful. We had to pinch ourselves that we were actually there throughout the week! The couple Jorge and Victoria keep the place immaculate and they could charge an entrance to those gardens. It is like the garden of Eden. We would love to return!

La maison, un ancien moulin joliment restauré, se trouve dans un environnement exceptionnel. Le très grand jardin est fabuleux : fleurs, arbres, cascade et rivière naturelles, murs en pierres sèches, perspectives, papillons... le paradis ! Et kne tres belle poscine :)

The first time the gates of the Quinta drew back and slowly revealed the beautiful gardens within was rather like Dorothy’s first glimpse of the Land of Oz – we definitely weren’t in Lancashire anymore. From sitting by the pool and swimming every so often, playing tennis in the court set in the hill above the house, to dining on the veranda just above the mill pond with the constant sound of the mini-waterfall, the experience was even better than the photographs had suggested it would be. I’d like to thank Jorge and Vittoria for creating this wonderful place, and for being such kind hosts and helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Staying in this immaculate watermill property, in such a unique location, with the waterfall running through it and beautiful surroundings, kept so well by Jorge and his wife. All of the facilities you may need, with a nice big pool. Less that 10 minutes from the lovely town of Caminha - we highly recommend this property and had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Jorge.

Das Anwesen ist sehr schön. Wir hatten ein paar sehr heiße Tage, an denen wir den eigenen Bach und Pool sehr genossen. Toll war, dass wir und unsere Teenager auf dem privaten Tennisplatz Tennis spielen konnten. Wir hatten ein Problem mit der Waschmaschine, dies wurde innerhalb eines halben Tages vom Besitzer gelöst, das war super. Jorge ist immer erreichbar und gibt schnell Antwort. Die Betten waren leider zu kurz für uns.

Ein traumhaftes Areal, indem man sich sofort entspannen und abschalten kann. Die Ruhe und die Natur lassen ein sofortiges Urlaubsgefühl enstehen und en Alltag vergessen. Die Gastgeber Jorge und seine Frau haben sich jederzeit und mit viel Engagement bei Fragen um alles gekümmert. Me anda few friends stayed in this location for some days to attend a festival, and this location made us want to skip the festival altogether. It's located near Caminha, but far enough from everything to the point where the only thing you can hear most of the time are the birds in the trees and the flowing river that passes through the property. We felt very welcomed by the owner, and were very pleasantly surprised by the accommodation itself, which contained all the necessary amenities and was thoroughly clean. There was an issue with the wifi, which, combined with the spotty cell reception in the area made internet access a bit more difficult, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise by "forcing" us to pay more attention to our beautiful surroundings.

The watermill is just a great place to stay. All around you is nature, although the next City is not too far away (you really need a car though). We had a great time enjoying the really big garden, which Mr. Valas, the owner, really cares for and it shows. It is beautiful. The pool is big and there is even a tennis court (rackets and balls included). The waterfall gives the place a calming ambient and you can really just enjoy sitting outside and enjoy the view. Mr. Valas is a great guy and wants the best experience for his customers. He replies very fast and is easy to reach if you got any questions concerning the house or the region. Just be aware that the internet connection is not that great (a bit slow) but I think that helps with digital detox. It was our second time travelling here and I don't think it will be our last.

Wir verbrachten Anfang August eine wunderbare Woche auf der Quinta Azenha do Canelo. Jorge hat die Quinta mit viel Liebe zum Detail aufwendig wieder aufgebaut. Ein Objekt bei dem die Bilder von der Wirklichkeit bei weitem übertroffen werden. Vielen Dank Jorge wir haben es genossen.

We have been booking successfully through VRBO for several years and this property wins 1st prize - Situated amongst a mature forest with a beautiful lake fed from our very own waterfall and a great size swimming pool and tennis court ! what more could we ever want - We intended this holiday to be one for relaxation and this definately delivered The house was well equipped and our 18 year old daughter appreciated having her own space in the annexe. Jorge and his wife were very attentive and even visited half way through our stay to clean and change the sheets & towels - If you want to get away from it all then this is the most beautiful place to do that ( I read 9 books in 14 days :-)) I can't really comment on the surrounding area because it wasn't that type of holiday but I can say that Caminha, which is 10 mins drive away has everything you could want or need and good places to eat - Thank you Jorge for a wonderful holiday

Die Quinta ist ein ganz paradiesischen Anwesen!!! Wir haben uns wie Könige/innen gefühlt:-) es ist alles da, was man für sein Wohlbefinden benötigt..Auch die Kinder sind voll auf ihre Kosten gekommen. Der Vermieter ist sehr aufmerksam und bei Fragen immer erreichbar. Es gab eine liebevolle Begrüßung mit Wein und Käse. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Auch die Lage zu verschiedenen Stränden (wenn wir es mal von unserem Anwesen weggeschaffft haben:-)) ist, mit dem Auto erreichbar, gut. Der Nationalpark und auch Porto liegen in guter Nähe. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit!!

Wir waren mit 2 Hunden für 2 Wochen in einem wunderschönen Haus mit einem traumhaften gepflegten Grundstück. Im Park ähnlichen Garten kann man die Ruhe genießen und sich vom Altagsstress erholen. Jorge ist ein überaus hilfsbereiter und freundlicher Gastgeber der für uns zu jeder Zeit verfügbar war. Wir danken Jorge noch einmal für 2 tolle Wochen Urlaub und für seine außergewöhnliche freundlichkeit.

La maison de Jorge est à couper le souffle ! Un havre de paix incroyable, une très belle région. Je n'ai que peu de mots pour décrire notre semaine passés dans ce moulin rénové, avec sa cascade et piscine naturelle. J'aimerais garder cette adresse secrète, étant tellement exceptionnelle :)

We stayed in this stunning house with our two dogs and enjoyed every second. Jorge and Vitoria were there to welcome us very warmly with lots of useful information about the house and surroundings. They also provided us with food for the first day. The house was immaculately clean, the garden absolutely stunning and very spacious! We used the pools a lot as the weather was very hot. We especially loved the cristal clear natural pool right in front of the house. We loved the house so much that we didn't want to leave it for too long to explore the area which also has a lot to offer. There are nice walks and hikes right outside the door. Caminha is a nice little low key town which has great restaurants and a beautiful wild beach. We would love to come again! Thank you Jorge and Vitoria for letting us stay in your beautiful house.

Unsere Woche in Azevedo war sehr erholsam. Jorge hat uns bei unserer späten Ankunft sehr freundlich empfangen und uns alles gezeigt. Das große, wunderschön gepflegte Grundstück ist eine Wohltat für alle Naturfreunde. Die Terrasse neben dem Wasserfall war rund um die Uhr unser Lieblingsplatz! Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was unsere Familie brauchte. Auch der Grill und der Holzofen haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Betten sind für Leute über 1,80m Größe etwas kurz. Im unteren Schlafzimmer gibt es kein WLan. Das sind die einzigen Verbesserungsvorschläge, die uns hier einfallen. Wir hatten eine unvergessliche Woche und danken Jorge noch einmal ausdrücklich für seine Hilfsbereitschaft und seine außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit.

Der Weg zum Anwesen für über eine nicht asphaltierten Weg, der aber gut befahrbar ist. Sogar mit einem VW Bus. Das Grundstück ist umzäunt, so dass unser Hund frei herum laufen konnte. Wir konnten die unglaubliche Ruhe und Natur geniessen. Der Garten ist gepflegt und unter anderem von schönen Hortensien umgeben. Der Pool ist bis 2.1 M tief. Im Haus hat es an nichts gefehlt. Herr Valas war sehr zuvorkommend und hat schnell gemeldet, falls Fragen auftauchten. Der Strand in Caminha ist in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Der Strand ist traumhaft. Für kleinere Kinder ist der Strand an der Mündung von Minho empfehlenswert, da vom Wind geschützt. Herzlichen Dank an Herrn Valas für seine Gastfreundschaft.
