The house was adequate. On a positive note-1) the beds were very comfortable. 2)We liked the separate dining room and the table was very functional. 3)The bathrooms were a good size and we appreciated that there were tubs provided. 4) yard was goodOn the downside there were several deficiencies-1) the deck was VERY SLIPPERY. Several falls on this deck. There should be something applied to prevent slipping. The wood is rotten.2) not enough supplies in the kitchen. While there were lots of random things like bread maker, fondue pots, etc, there was only one serving platter that could be used. 3) there needs to be paper towels, and more dish towels. It is very inconvenient to have only one or two dish towels. 4) the oven is too small and it didn’t work at first because there was something wrong with the door. We figured it out eventually. 5) there should be a ‘Guest Instruction’ book to go over the smoke detectors, etc. we didn’t know how to turn it off after a bit of smoke on the stove, which resulted in a visit from the fire department. Should also have instructions on what to do with garbage, etc.6) the closet door in the downstairs hallway is off the rails.7) we couldn’t adjust the heat up or down which was very inconvenient. At times it was quite cold, which we didn’t enjoy.8) the two largest bedrooms were very loud all night with the sound of the furnace.
