“Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. “Il Waterfront Inn si trova a pochi passi dalla Westward Ho beach, una spiaggia immensa soggetta ad un’incredibile variabilità a seconda della marea, ideale anche per chi vuole imparare il surf. La camera è pulita e molto spaziosa con la macchina per il caffè/te. Il ristorante offre una buona cucina inglese e la colazione, abbondante a scelta, è inclusa nel prezzo. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Il parcheggio, anch’esso incluso nel prezzo, è proprio dietro la struttura”

“A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. ”
