Casa Isabella is a recently renovated antique and elegant building, dating back to the 1800s and enriched during the "liberty era". It is located just a few meters from the train station and the walled city of Lucca. There is just one floor, the rooms are large in size, very bright and welcoming, with the romantic atmosphere of an authentic Tuscan period residence.
The decor has been designed with much care and attention to detail, tastefully mixing antique family pieces with a touch of modern , to create a current and sophisticated atmosphere.
Casa Isabella is equipped with air conditioning in the living room, kitchen and bedrooms; WiFi is available in all rooms and you will also find a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and other small appliances. The house also offers a spacious terrace where you can wind down and enjoy pleasant outdoor meals.
If you are coming by train you can reach our home in 5 minutes on foot.
If you have a car it is possible to stop in front of the door of the house to load and unload your luggage for a short time.
Some free parking possibilities near the house.
Or you can easily find a spot at the public paying parking by the station. Parcheggio Stazione , in Ricasoli Square, is about 100 meters (330 ft) from the house (3 minutes walking) .
Another interesting aspect for those who love walking in nature is that a few steps from the house is the historic Nottolini aqueduct, dating back to the beginning of the 1800s and recently restored. It will delight you with its original charm and it can be a valid alternative, full of history and nature, to the historic center.
Lay out :
The building opens up on a ground floor lodge, from where the stairs will lead you to the apartment. After the impressive entrance you will find a living and dining room area ( seating up to 8 people). The TV is in a second living/ studio room.
There are three bedrooms, one with two single beds and two master bedrooms one of which with its own en-suite private bathroom. An important feature is the huge terrace that runs along the entire lenght of the house offering you a private outdoor space for relaxing or entertaining.
Location:
Casa Isabella is located in a quiet and elegant one way street,
close the ancient Walls that surround the historic center, 10 minute walk from the cathedral and to all the other places of interest of which the city of Lucca is very rich. The train station is very close so that you can have the opportunity to go one day to Florence, another to Pisa, another to the Cinque Terre etc. without the need to use the car.
Finally, I would like to conclude encouraging tourists to choose Lucca as a destination for their holidays, not only because it is a beautiful city, rich in history and with medieval walls that are unique in the world for their grandeur and more, but also for the city's privileged position to discover other beauties of Tuscany.
Pisa is just 20 km away and Florence about 70 km (about 45 minutes by motorway). Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are around 1 hour and 40 minutes away by car.
To get to beautiful Cinque Terre it's only a one hour drive or train.
Just thirty minutes by car you can reach the coast; that is the area where the province of Lucca is washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea. This is certainly a very beautiful coastal area, born in the early 1900s and rich in Art Nouveau architecture. The beach is very wide, with thin sand that slides gently into the sea.
Heading towards the mountainous area of Lucca you will encounter the famous villages of the Garfagnana, also very popular with visitors.
