The host, Jim, was polite and kept good phone contact. He made regular calls to update on things that needed to be fixed or were not working. When i arrived at the townhouse. There was a smell, perhaps from a pet? Urine? The floor was not clean. I chose to go to walmart and purchase a mop and cleaner to remove the dirt and stains. The toilet in the large bedroom was dirty. ( i have a picture of it ) The tub/shower was clogged, did not drain properly and had a "ring" stain of dark color close to the drain. Like it had been clogged or backed up and sewage had stained it. I purchased cleaning products and brushes and drano to unclogg the drain.After i swept the floor. Mopped up the stains on the floor. After cleaning the floors and bathrooms. The smell disappeared. The location of the townhouse was good for me. The windows are inexpensive and allowed a lot of traffic noise. I attempted to turn on the tvs with the remote. Neither tv worked. Jim thought i could buy a universal remote and batteries. Which i did and Jim reimbursed me. The tv turned on but did not have channels to watch. Jim suggested that i move the antenna closer to the window or sliding door. Even after moving the antenna, had no national channels and only 6 or 7 local channels. Perhaps having a subscription service would be helpful. The neighbors were very friendly. Stopped to talk and visit. The townhouse was pet friendly, which was helpful because my mom wanted to visit.
