Cracking place

We loved our visit of 5 days, perfect for a 3 gen family group. Biggest pluses: the swimming pool, good sized rooms, airiness, well maintained garden, position for making visits to CapeTown and surrounds (- Constantia is well placed), Athol's help and attention, good wi-fi. One room is almost a self contained flat (which was useful) One or two points to make: It is not exclusive. There are other lets on the same site (unimportant to us) The kitchen is too well stocked! It could do with losing some clutter.. ...But we had a great time. Getting to wineries is a 5 minute drive, Constantia is genteel ...we could have made much more of the house if we hadn't been so occupied with activities here and there. Thanks to Athol, Blessing (who came in daily) and Ismael (garden)

Wow. What a stay in Cape Town!

In Cape Town for a friend’s wedding - which turned into a holiday! A group of 9, this beautiful villa in Constantia was absolutely perfect for our stay. Constantia is a beautiful suburb, within easy reach of all areas of Cape Town, and feels safe and secure. We made the most of the trails up to Table Mountain which are all around the villa, and Athol gave us some great local recommendations - Hout Bay market on a Friday evening, Long Street bars including The Beer House. We’d also highly recommend Chef’s Warehouse (book months in advance!) which is 10 minutes from the house. Beautiful villa, wonderful hosts, and a perfect location - we will definitely be returning!

Great Location, Stunning Views, Fantastic Host

We had a great stay at LeBonheur over Christmas and New Year. Our daughter was married at Steenberg and both sides of the family shared the main house. It was great to have the maid service particularly on the day of the wedding with 6 shirts to iron! We had booked the house a full three years in advance and Athol and Tamara had done everything possible to help us source suppliers and generally put our minds at ease. At the last minute some friends had issues with their booked accommodation in Hout Bay and Athol and Tamara pulled out all the stops to assist and let them move into Lemon cottage at very short notice. The house itself is in a stunning setting, the views from the top terrace are very special indeed. Although the pool and hot tub are shared with the other cottages, this was not an issue for us. There are eight padded sun loungers and plenty of other lounging chairs. The grounds are perfect for a family BBQ (Braai!) and the prices of meat etc in the supermarket are very reasonable. Jacko the parrot provided plenty of entertainment to us all and Tamara’s dog Stretch also visited to play around the pool. We found the location to be very convenient, although you do need to drive to get anywhere, there are plentiful restaurants and a shopping centre within 10 minutes. The Waterfront, Hout Bay and Newlands are all an easy 20-25 minute drive. Then of course it is in the middle of the Constantia wine route – it would be rude not to.

Lovely, secluded, quiet and restful

Athol and Tammy accommodated me at very short notice and in the middle of winter when they weren't really open - their hospitality and helpfulness was greatly appreciated. I had a wonderfully nurturing two days there - amidst rainstorms - but was kept warm and snug in a lovely comfortable cottage that contained everything I needed. Thank you both again for a great time and your warm welcome. I can highly recommend this lovely abode!

Beautiful, central, family, friendly, luxury

We loved this spot in the heart of Constantia - central, impeccably maintained, luxury with friendly staff and owner who all went the extra mile to make us feel at home (complete with the occasional visit from Stretch the dog, who my kids adored). The accommodation has all you can think of - it's aestehtically well done, has great green tech (water & electricity), and has great wheel chair accessibility. Well done to Le Bonheur for nailing it!

Stunning location and property

Wonderful property We had a wonderful stay at LeBonheur in Constantia Cape Town. Athol and his manager were so friendly and accommodating in hosting us! We had lovely memories with Jacko the African gray Also nice lovely solar heated pool won’t forget that which was everyone’s favorite . In the end highly recommended for who wants a nice and relax holiday in mother city Cape Town Will definitely go back . Thanks for wonderful memories Athol

Fantastic Stay - Highly Recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa at Le Bonheur. The unit was well furnished, comfortable and clean. It was everything we were looking for in terms of our needs. The outside pool was fantastic as well. Constantia is such a beautiful suburb to stay in. Thanks to Athol and his team for looking after us. Would definitely stay again.

Wunderbar zentral gelegene Unterkunft!

Wir hatten die Villa dieses Jahr nicht zum ersten Mal gebucht. Das Haus liegt wunderbar zentral in alle Richtungen, die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Constantia für uns als Selbstversorger hervorragend und Athol und das gesamte Team immer wieder ebenso wunderbare Gastgeber. Hinzu kommt die schnelle Erreichbarkeit vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Markt von Hout Bay, die False Bay-Seite mit dem Strand von Muizenberg, Kalk Bay (am Hafen kann man hervorragend frischen Fisch kaufen) und die Nähe zu vielen sehr, sehr guten Restaurants. Immer wieder ein sehr schöner Beginn für unseren Südafrikaufenthalt und mittlerweile schon ein Stück hometown and family.

Very comfortable and well maintained accommodation

My family(2 kids 4 & 6, 2 adults) spent 6 days in Lime cottage and fell in love with it. Cozy, comfortable and well looked after. A short drive to Constantia Village and all the amazing wineries in the area. Athol saw to the small details we forgot and I would recommend his place over a hotel room any day. December in Cape town that won't break the bank. Spread the word, I have.

"Lime Cottage-- Safe & Stunning Accommodation."

We rate this cottage at 9.9 on the WOW factor scale. We stayed here for just under three weeks from 27th January 2016 and cannot praise the cottage too highly. Safe and luxurious accommodation fitted out with quality to become a restful and peaceful home from home. We found the owner and his assistant extremely helpful and informative, they would go out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable experience. We have booked to stay for six weeks next year and will highly recommend it to relatives, friends and anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing holiday.

A Wonderful Unforgettable Stay at Le Bonheur

We stayed in the villa for 12 nights with family and friends. The accommodation is perfect, view amazing and security reassuring. It is a great base to see Cape Town and beyond. I can highly recommend Le Bonheur and will be booking for 2017 in the next few weeks.

Lime Cottage - Luxurious Accomodation

My mother and I are returning guests. We can recommend Le Bonheur to anyone. It is located in one of Constantia's well sought after locations and it is central to Cape Town's main tourist attractions. Lime cottage has a wonderful, fully equipped, spacious kitchen, which is a pleasure to cook in. Very comfortable king size beds with good mattresses. The lounge area with the comfy sofas, flat - screen TV and DVD player all contributes to a very relaxed holiday. Athol the owner are friendly and attentive and works hard to make his guests feel at home. Well done Athol!! Truly 5 star accommodation!!

Home away from home

Our experience at Le Bon Heur was a warm, and pleasant one. The cottage was very private, extremely well-equipped and beautifully decorated. We have two young children and the cottage was ideal for a small family. We could do our own laundry, cook family meals, and have all the luxuries of home, while traveling. It was winter when we visited and it was warm and comfortable. We would definitely recommend the cottage, as well as stay there again.

Beautiful Bonhuer

We stayed at this property for three weeks,had a great experience at lavender cottage. There are four other properties to rent so it's ideal if you have a large group of friends and family who want to be together but still have their own space. The property was well maintained ,the beautifully manicured garden overlooks Table mountain,not far from Constantia shopping village with its many shops and restaurants. The owner Athol is on site to assist with any questions you may have. The pool and whirlpool and bar and bbq add to a great accommodation on offer. The house is secure and in a beautiful residential area. Would highly recommend this property

Excellent Accommodation & Facilities

I was responsible for organising a holiday for family and friends to get together from both Uk and South Africa. After searching the website for suitable accommodation for 9 of us l came across Le Bonheur . From the moment l contacted the owner via email our every request was catered for. On watching the video l immediately booked for a 2 week stay in January 2016. Everything about Le bonheur was stunning. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained. Athol, Joy and team were friendly and worked hard to keep the villa in a beautiful condition. We needed to rent a vehicle during our stay and Athol,prior to our visit introduced me to Pam from Avis who arranged a suitable mini bus for us. Together with Athol they made arrangements to collect us from the airport as we hadn't factored into our holiday was how to get 9 large suitcases and people into one bus!! On arrival at Cape Town International Airport we were welcomed like part of the family. The villa is absolutely stunning everything and more than you see on the website. The rooms the bars the pool and jacuzzi were all well maintained and beautifully presented. Athol and Joy were on hand to recommend places to visit restaurants to try etc. stunning mountain views surrounded the villa. We had a few family Celebrations whilst there and everyone commented on what a beautiful villa Le Bonheur was. The furniture fittings everything about the villa was lovely. A fully stocked kitchen catered for various age groups within our party. Shops and restaurants a plenty were only a short drive from the villa which was a bonus. The location of the villa was great for getting out and about pretty central for visiting the tourist areas such as HoutBay and Cape Point. The family parrot Jacko was certainly entertaining and had us in fits of laughter taking off the various different accents. Once you put the cover on him in an evening he remained quiet till he heard you up and about next morning. Athol the owner was available when needed and dealt with any issues immediately. He was really friendly and welcoming just like an extended part of our family. Everything about our stay was amazing we will definitely book another trip to stay at Le Bonheur.

Stunning Place to Stay

LeBonheur is a great place to spend your Cape Town holiday. Constantia is right in the middle so the location is perfect for people wanting to see the whole city. Athol was very professional and helpful but also relaxed and easy going - just what you need when you're on holiday. The premises is very well kept and spacious and is an affordable option when traveling with a group of friends or large family. I highly recommend this Villa.

Absolutely Amazing

My husband and I are returning guests. We have had lengthy stays at Le Bonheur, staying in all of the villa's. The grounds are perfectly manicured with spectacular mountain views. It is located in one of Constantia’s premier locations and is central to Cape Town’s tourist attractions and shops. Athol, the owner was always available to assist with any queries that we had. He has a personal touch in looking after all of his guests. You truly don’t want for anything whilst staying at Le Bonheur. Everything is provided and more. The villa’s are luxurious and always immaculately maintained by the staff. There is a large heated pool and a jacuzzi on the grounds which we thoroughly enjoyed using during our stay. The WIFI connection is excellent and you have a wide variety of channels to watch. We have travelled the globe staying in some of the worlds top destinations and feel that Le Bonheur is an amazing place to stay and would definitely return.

Beautiful holiday location for our large family

We hosted 14 of our family members from the United States at Le Bonheur. We had an excellent stay! The property is beautiful, and its views of the Table Mountain range are amazing. The owner, Athol, was very responsive to our needs and easy to work with. The house is just a 5-minute drive from Constantia Village, where our family could shop for groceries and things they needed for the house. Constantia is a great location—central to much of what Cape Town has to offer.
