Guest Responsibility
The person signing this agreement accepts full responsibility, in their personal capacity, for any losses, damages, or breakages occurring to the apartment or its contents during the stay. The signing guest agrees to convey these Terms and Conditions to all members of their party and ensure compliance by all guests. Only persons listed in the booking may occupy the property. The maximum number of guests must not exceed the limit stated in the booking. Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction without refund. Entry may be denied if the person who made the booking and is responsible is not present at check-in. All guests must have a valid ID or passport available on check-in.
Property Use and Behaviour
Misbehaviour includes but is not limited to excessive noise or loud music at any time, occupancy exceeding the agreed number of guests, parties, commercial activity, or any activity judged by management as inappropriate. Breach may result in immediate eviction of all guests without refund. Guests will be held financially responsible for any damages or losses, as well as fines issued, which will be communicated by the host, with payment due to Home Meets Hotel within 7 business days. No smoking is allowed in any apartment, and no alcohol is allowed in common areas.
Important Information
We provide guests with a starter pack to get them going on the first day of their arrival consisting of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water, basic cleaning detergents, and bathroom amenities. Please take note that we do not replenish these items for the duration of your stay. Electricity is provided through prepaid units; excessive use is the guest’s responsibility. Load shedding may occur, and Home Meets Hotel cannot be held liable for system failures. We provide guests with a fitted sheet and duvet, as well as a bath towel and hand towel for each guest. To ensure your convenience, kindly bring your personal login details for DSTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and any other applicable services, as not all apartments are equipped with login credentials. This is a self-catering apartment and is therefore not serviced during your stay. Should you wish to arrange additional cleaning or linen changes, please liaise directly with your host. For stays longer than 7 nights, a complimentary weekly linen change is included. The cleaning fee included in your payment covers departure cleaning only. Guests are responsible for taking good care of the property and leaving it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. We can only recommend and not dictate the furnishing, window coverings (whether too light or too dark), kitchen utensils, cooking ware, cutlery, etc of the unit, as this remains the personal choice of the owner. Guests are responsible for not parting with any possession of the property or sharing it with anyone other than those named in this agreement. Outdoor furniture may be moved indoors during strong winds, and due to strong winds there might sometimes be a bad odour or whistling sound in some of the apartments. Some apartments are surrounded by restaurants and pubs; therefore, guests may experience noise. Please report any issues on the day of arrival so that the host can address them. Any in-person check-in after 7 pm will incur an additional charge of R500. Airport shuttles can be arranged at an additional cost. We do not provide international plugs/converters. Home Meets Hotel does not always get informed of renovations or noise in neighbouring units and cannot be held responsible for disruptions during business hours.
Safety and Indemnity
Guests use all facilities at their own risk. Home Meets Hotel and its employees accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to the property. Guests irrevocably waive any claims against Home Meets Hotel, its employees, and associated parties for any injuries, damages, or losses, including due to negligence or recklessness. Our apartments are not advertised or equipped as child-friendly and are not suitable for children under 12. Guests choosing to bring children do so at their own discretion and responsibility. The apartments are as depicted in the photographs, including open staircases, balconies, and swimming pools. No child safety equipment is provided other than what is listed, and children must be supervised at all times. Home Meets Hotel accepts no liability for injury, accidents, or other incidents involving children or any other persons.
Indemnity:
Home Meets Hotel, as well as the owner, do not accept liability for any loss and/or damage to any personal items and/or person for any reason whatsoever. Sufficient travel & medical insurance is therefore strongly advised.
