Property was more than I expected! Fantastic three bedroom apartment, clean and spacious! Hotel staff were super friendly and close by to the waterfront. Only drawback is that they could have had more variety for breakfast but would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Cape Town. Entirely family loved the hotel

Nice apartment suite located in greenpoint 20 minutes from waterfront. Generally safe area but taxi still required. Use unicab excellent service. Hotel service good breakfast nice

Great hotel
The Romney is a very nice classy hotel. The included continental breakfast was magnificent never had such a selection. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall good experience, big rooms and clean. Most staff was friendly, some not. Breakfast good and location close to Waterkant.

Charming hotel with large rooms
This hotel has a good location with a charming exterior and interior. Really reminds you of the Victorian colonial style. However it frequently accepts large Indian tour groups so you may need to consider the noise at breakfast, but you could always move outside where it's quieter.

Boutique hotel with fabulous suites
What a gem! We stayed in a luxury suite which was nicely decorated and well appointed. Hotel personnel were amazingly friendly and the spa was brilliant to say the least.

very comfortable, cozy but there was a bed burg on the floor and there was an insect in the kit.

Thank you for your feedback. We have a very strict prevention and treatment policy to prevent any kind of bugs in the suites themselves...unless something maybe flew into the room? I do apologise for this but I am not exactly sure what your comments detail....but I will definitely take this up with my team to follow up on..

Lovely Suite Hotel, walkable to Waterfront
Really enjoyed the suite and spaciousness of our room. Good breakfast, with 3 hot choices, and cold buffet. Best part was easy 20 minute walk to Waterfront area for lots of shops, restaurants and views of the boats and harbour.

Exceptionally friendly staff
My only hesitation was that breakfast staff sometimes took a very long time to ask about drinks (coffee, tea). Otherwise, wonderful experience.

Staff excellent across the board. Very friendly. Spacious rooms. Safe location. Wonderful balcony. Poor lighting but that is a SA issue. Large bathroom plus bonus second bathroom was a great treat.

Blev ett bra ställe att landa på efter 24 tim flyg. Utsikt bekvämligheter och fin service. Avstånd till Waterfront 1.5 km gör oftast taxi till givet val men det kostar ju bara 40-50 rand + dricks.Perfekt första anhalt på Sydafrika-tour.

Great stat
Excellent friendly staff, breakfast is diverse, plentiful and great. Dinner at the restaurant was good and cheap but very quiet ... not sure why because it was very good and brilliant cocktails! Bit far from cafes and restaurants if walking and too far from waterfront but taxis are cheap and hotel will book in ( about $5 aud)

Excellent hotel but poor breakfast service
We were very pleased with the hotel and its ammendities and the view was great. Unfortunately the service was not. No one asked us whether we needed help with our luggage or even offered a luggage trolley and we had to make two trips down to the parking area to get all our luggage to our room ourselves. Breakfast service was also bad. We sat at the table for 10 minutes without anyone offering us the menu (I had to ask for one) or coffee. It took a bit longer than 30 minutes for our hot breakfast to finally arrive, even though we ordered immediately when we got the menus and the breakfast we ordered were only bacon and eggs. We would stay at Romney Hotel again and the hotel itself was excellent, but they really need to upgrade there service. It is a five star hotel after all.

Comfortable and spacious Accomodation
The suites are huge and comfortable with ample amenities in them. Very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. In a quite residential area. Not far from city center and Sea point where good restaurants are. Safe area. Underground Car parking is a little costly.Did not try the in house restaurant and Bar due to lack of time but looked good with great deals. Daily weather updates left in your Room with turn down service was appreciated.Small SPA.

Room was disappointing
We were disappointed by the location of our room - it was on the ground floor with the noise of reception at one end and the noise from the pool and restaurant at the other. We requested another room, but the staff did not make an effort to accommodate us.

Outstanding Stay!
Romney Park is an absolutely amazing place to stay in Cape Town. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the exclusivity away from the waterfront while being a few minutes away from the beach, stores, and restaurants. I can't thank the awesome staff enough for making our first time in Cape Town and amazing experience!

A real gem of a hotel!
This boutique hotel is fantastic. In quiet Green Point it is a $5 cab (with tip) to the VA Waterfront or downtown. We were a family of 4 (two teenagers) and we were very comfortable in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. It was very nicely decorated, well appointed and with a great view from the spacious balcony (and we were not on the top floor). The staff were excellent. Helpful, attentive and polite. The gardens were well tended and the brass was all highly polished. Dining in the hotel was excellent and remarkably inexpensive. Breakfast (included) was wonderful. White table cloth, excellent buffet and hot a breakfast table service that high end hotels would have trouble matching. It was too cool to use the pool and deck area except for evening cocktails. The space was nicely decorated and I can imagine, in warmer weather, it would be a beautiful place to lounge in the sun. even though no one was using the area, I saw them washing the deck and wiping down the furniture every morning. We felt we were taking a chance on this hotel, but it proved an absolute winner.

As suítes são impecáveis. Serviço excelente. Todos os dias colocavam a previsão do vento e temperatura do dia seguinte. Muito bom. O wi-fi funcionava apenas em alguns lugares do apartamento, pode ser melhor. O café é extraordinário. Recomendo.

Loved this place
Loved the room - Senator Suite was more than adequate for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. With two bathrooms / toilets, it was convenient. The lounge area was excellent for entertaining our local friends and enjoying some South African food and wine! Breakfast was great with ample quantities of everything and the hot breakfast that was included with the room was just perfect for an early morning boost.

Super hotel so convenient especially for families. Nothing was too much for the staff and attention to details was great. The room was immaculate. The only thing they could I prove on was the wifi which wasn't the best. However I would easily recommend this place again and again.

Good all suite hotel
A very nice all suite hotel, unfortunately building site across the road which was noisy during the day and blocked any views from the hotel. However a good base for visiting Cape Town.
Thank you for your review of the Hotel, the construction across the road from us has been a challenge but will be completed in June 2016, we are also looking forward to less noise...I look forward to welcoming you back when you travel to Cape Town again...

Great accamodations, but no gym.
This was a great hotel in a the quiet neighborhood of Greenpoint. Its about 1 mile from downtown and 2 from the waterfront. The rooms/suite are spacious and nice. The service including breakfast was great. If there is one con, it would be that the hotel states that there is a health club. I would assume that to mean a gym and there isn't one. My wife loves to work out in the mornings and we had to go down the street and pay an additional $13/day to use the gym. But aside from that, it was a great hotel.

Thank you for your review of Romney Park...the hotel states we have a spa at the premises which we do - Romney Park All Suite Hotel and Spa...however we do not have a gym at the hotel...we have always sent our guests to the world class Virgin Active located close to us...I am glad your wife was able to find a spot to gym in...

Great hotel location and room size, especially for a family with kids. Room was not cleaned well. It needs a good deep clean. I think there is better value in Cape Town

Great hotel, great location.
Excellent hotel. Lovely decor. Great location - walking distance from restaurants on Main Street. We even walked to the Waterfront mall a number of times - that is a 20-30 minute walk along shops and restaurants for the most part. The breakfast at the hotel is good. The staff are very friendly.

Great hotel a little out of the way.
We stayed for three nights. The hotel was great, but not in a great location. The neighborhood was great, but it was in between two areas. So we always had a bit of a walk to get to downtown or to Sea Point. The room was very comfortable and large. I loved having a couch to stretch out on. But the best part of the hotel was the wonderful breakfast. There was lots of sweets, cheeses, cold cuts, cereals, juices and eggs, bacon and omelets. I would stay again. I needed the walking.
