“The staff were so nice. We came to run Grandma's Marathon and they had the place decorated, welcome bags in our room and an extra early breakfast for the runners! It made the stay even better!”

“Nice place, quiet and clean, surrounded by woods so peaceful setting but near shoos and restaurants. OK pool but no hot tub. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Room has a kitchen with dishes and cookware. Nice size closet for a studio suite. My only real complaint was the beds were like cement and so uncomfortable. I had to buy a mattress pad just to sleep. The pillows didn't have any stuffing and we're like sleeping on cloth.”

“This is a pleasant modern motel on the outskirts of town. It has nothing special about it -- the room is basic, and functional. There's no in-room coffee or water heater. Also no closet or drawers for clothing -- just some external hangers. It does have a gym and a pool -- I used the gym and it was small but the treadmill worked fine. Breakfast is standard motel fare. “Reminds me of some of the best hostels I stayed in while traveling in Europe. Super clean, very modern, and a great vibe. Joe was there when we checked in, and was super helpful in helping us get settled. Great retail store below, and a cool looking bar as well (window-shopped the store, didn’t hit the bar). It is a hostel, so be prepared for shared bathrooms, etc., but we expected that and it was all in all a great stay. Will totally stay there again!”

“My favorite thing about this hotel was the shower head. Very powerful. We had a city view room on 11th floor. One of 2 complaints we had were that we signed up for 2 queen beds and received 2 full beds. We were told by staff that this was an Expedia problem and not their problem (although their own website lists queens as well, so be sure if this is important to you that you really delve into that). “Minimal nearby restaurants. To few staff with little local information”

“This is an old property. Our room AC was loud, the carpets looked tired. Small pie shaped rooms with small bathrooms. I thought the overall stay was fine, the cheaper end of room rates in town. Free coffee available in the lobby and we never went to the restaurant. It is right downtown in Duluth and close to the water. Also no daily maid service.”
