Pleasant Pheasant
Great location and lovely family has taken over the B&B. The property is massive as it was a horse farm previously. The rooms are very comfortable and food was excellent.

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and we had a great stay. The owners were friendly and inviting and made us feel at home right away. We stayed two nights in the Library Room and the bed was AMAZING! Each morning we were treated to a unique and delicious breakfast. We were in town for a family wedding so we didn’t get to explore the area - plus it rained so we cozied up inside. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Awesome relaxation
Trip was great and the b&b was excellent . Loved the 11 acres to Rome around on and it was about 10 minutes from the tea festival we attend every year. I look forward to returning next year for a longer stay

This was an amazing stay! The hosts are warm and welcoming, the property has a rich history, the room was spacious yet cozy, and the breakfast was phenomenal. A selection of restaurants were within an easy 6-10 minute drive from the property. Would definitely recommend and return!

It is a pleasure to write a review for this outstanding B & B. Ensconced in an idyllic area, Pheasant Field B & B is a gem. The owners are fantastic hosts. The food is prepared in a perfectly, the egg dishes utilize eggs from the chickens you can visit on the farm. Even the sheets on the beds are amazing. The attention to detail is evident throughout the experience. Repeat guests are numerous. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to stay here. I definitely recommend it.

Excellent Breakfasts, very comfortable
The B&B was very quiet and comfortable. We especially liked the breakfasts and choices offered each day. The location was perfect for us. We appreciate that the owners utilize solar energy for hot water and have their own chickens for fresh eggs!

Charming country estate with barnyard animals!
We were greeted by the resident cat plus chickens, horses, & ducks oh my! We stayed in the Appalachian Room (green, my favorite color). Had to vault up on the bed, but I have short legs. The linens were silky with layers. Serenaded by crickets all night. Separate black washcloth for makeup (smart). Recycle bin in bathroom. Filtered water in reusable glass bottle, but only disposable plastic cups (please offer reusable mugs or glasses). Breakfast was catered to our dietary needs (we are pescatarian). Vegetable and cheddar frittata with poached apples preceded by a lemon scone. Decaf coffee, cider and orange juice! Scrumptious! Thank you!!!

A great experience of early Americana
The house and barn were built in the 1790's and have been uniquely restored and updated to today's comfort. The grounds are immaculately kept and the rural setting offers a peaceful repose. The Breakfast was complete and cooked fresh to order. Most impressive was the cleanliness throughout.

Robin and Kit were wonderful hosts for our stay. We were visiting Dickinson College with our daughter and we wanted to stay in a more historic location than just a hotel in town. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. Breakfast each morning offered such incredible choices it was hard to choose. The B&B was only a few miles outside of Carlisle and worth it! I highly recommend staying here to relax and just enjoy the moment.

Comfort with a Little American History
The inn was absolutely lovely. Quiet and serene with an interesting history and something beautiful to catch your eye around every corner. Innkeepers Robin and Kit were very welcoming and more than hospitable ... and did I mention the sheets? Would definitely recommend!

We felt like family. The owners are so kind.The room was like our home and the grounds were beautiful. The guests they attract are friendly and happy. The breakfasts were gourmet and fresh. We will have to return.

Everything is excellent and beyond expectations. Beautiful house and grounds. Owners treat you like old friends. Best breakfast anywhere.

Pros: clean rooms, delicious breakfast, owners were really nice and had a cool friendly dog. Bathrooms had everything we needed and everything was working as it should. Cons: there is only 1. They had a party the day we stayed and our room enterance was on the first floor right where everyone was sitting. Coming in and out of the room when we went out for dinner was awkward since you had to go through this crowd of people before you dissapeared behind your door. Overall i would rate it 9/10 and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Thank you for the great review. It's fairly rare that we host an indoor gathering and we're sorry you felt uncomfortable coming and going while the engagement party was going on that evening. They left by around 9:30 and we hope you enjoyed the evening afterwards. We hope you return for another stay.

We only had a brief one-night stay at the Pheasant Field B&B, but left wishing that we could stay another night or two! The house was beautiful, clean and well-kept, and the hosts were just so welcoming and lovely. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and they've mastered breakfast because everything we had was delicious and fresh. Overall, we've already recommended the Pheasant to friends, and hope to have a reason to come back and stay again.
