  • Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Light Above the Sea"! This home sleeps 4-6 guests.

    Located on Ocean Avenue just a few blocks above all the downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea boutique shops, galleries and restaurants and a short walk to all Carmel attractions. Park your cars in the driveway and walk to the weekly farmers market, Carmel Plaza or venture down to the beach. Easy access to Highway One for a southerly scenic drive to Big Sur, or northward to the Monterey Peninsula. Golfing, hiking and dining options are many, and this is the perfect home to stay at when you are attending special events like Monterey Car Week, Carmel Bach Festival or Pebble Beach® Food and Wine.

    Living Space
    This charming single-level home is 1,200 sf. The living area is home to comfortable furnishings, a wood burning fireplace and a wifi-enabled Smart TV where guests can log into their streaming subscriptions and watch their favorite shows (guests should bring their logins).

    Outside is a lovely small fenced garden space and a gas BBQ grill.

    Kitchen and Dining
    The fully-equipped kitchen is ready for your culinary endeavors and eating meals at home will be a breeze.

    Bedrooms and Bathrooms
    Bedroom #1 is the primary suite with a king bed and a separate space with a queen sleeper sofa (this secondary area is also home to the washer and dryer) in addition to an en suite bathroom with a shower-over-tub combination.
    Bedroom #2 has a queen bed.
    The full hall bathroom has a standing shower.
    The living area has a queen sleeper sofa that is perfect for an overnight guest.

    The home is equipped with a washer and dryer for guest use that is located in the primary suite.

    Air conditioning is infrequently needed in this mild region, but this home is equipped with central air conditioning for rare hot days.

    Off-street parking in the driveway for 2-3 vehicles and a 1-car garage.

    Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

    This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner.

    This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. With over 15 years of property management experience, Sanctuary strives to provide environments that nurture and inspire with all the comforts of home. Each home has beach towels, shower and bath amenities and spa-style robes. Our team is available 7 days a week to assist you. We look forward to hosting you!

Beautiful cottage in town

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in perfect condition everything was new and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and the garden was beautiful full of flowers. The location is perfect it is two blocks from town. It had everything from beach chairs to yoga mats!

Perfect Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my first time in Carmel and it was a perfect place to stay and escape the heat from Texas. Just three blocks off the Plaza main shopping and dining area. Wonderful to be able to walk every day especially to my favorite new breakfast spot, Tuck Box. Short drive to Pacific Grove and Monterey as well. Quick 15 minutes to the Monterey Airport to pick up and drop off friends who visited. The house was lovely and described accurately. We did move the table out of the kitchen into the dining area to have more room in the kitchen. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. The yard was beautiful and full of flowers...even though there was no grass my two little dogs were able to find a few places for their business. We were glad for the air conditioning in the living room during the latter part of the month on the warmer sunny afternoons since we were there for the month August. Sanctuary was very prompt when communication was needed. Very customer oriented. Will definitely use them again on my next stay in the area and have recommended to a few friends.
