“The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too!
Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun!

“The room was very clean and well equipped, nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was lovely including home made jams, marmalade and fresh bread. The food in general was amazing, we had dinner on our first evening and then the dinner and wine tasting on the second night.
