Did the job but frustrating
Styled a little like an unfinished Mexican restaurant, with things fairly piecemeal and slapped together. Definitely not attention to detail. A screen was broken on the screened in porch and when I took a shower, the entire shower door popped out when trying to close it and I had to scramble, soaking wet, to get it back in.
My friends and I came out to meet each other here and see other friends in Georgia. We wanted to have people over one night for cake and dinner to celebrate birthdays, but we couldn't because this place requires you to give every person's name at the guardhouse and they have to park at the marina. I wouldn't have cared so much had this been in the listing so that I was aware, but nothing in the listing made the difficulty having guests apparent. We had to change plans last minute and not have people over because of this after planning for some time.
The positive is that the location is gorgeous and the beds are comfy. Generally beds that are not your own suck, but I found these were great, so I did get good night's sleep at least.
I suggest to the host to better explain the parking and guardhouse situation in the listing, so that people can better make an informed decision with staying with you. Had I known I could have made other plans after of time or just found another listing and I'd have had less negatives about my stay. Awareness is key!
