Im sorry you woke up to the water being turned off for a brief period while the water department was working on something at the street. That was out of my control. In regards to you not liking the TV provider. Im speechless. Im also disappointed we would lose 20% of our overall rating based on that one item alone. Pretty disappointing from the shoes of a host considering we GO over and BEYOND guests expectations in SO many areas compared to other hosts. Not sure why you couldn't find any trash cans in the house because we have one in every room. If you were having troubles finding anything, I would have appreciated the opportunity to help you during your stay instead of hearing it in a review after check out. With regards to the "garage" being messy, we dont advertise the garage as an "amenity" because we are currently using it for storage. Regarding construction, I apologize for the spackling compound in a few rooms. We were preparing to repaint a few rooms and had to do some prep work before the painter arrived. Sorry the spackle wasn't painted prior to your arrival. Regarding your handicapped guest, this is a 2 story house with steps as outlined in the listing picture and the floor plan. If you thought this house was handicap accessible, I apologize as we dont advertise it that way. I suggest you ask future hosts more prebooking questions and communicate with the host during your future stays so that your future experiences will be what you expect. Thanks, Brian

Nancy, I am not sure how you got the impression this property was a 2 story house "without steps". In the 6 years of renting this home, you are the first guest who has ever called me after checking in and expressed "Surprise and disappointment" that there are steps present in the house. Everyone of our past guests were able to view the 2 floor plans, look at the 2 story windows, and deduce this was a 2 story home. Apparently, I need to "STATE" that there are steps in the property description because not "ALL" people apparently know 2 story homes have steps or 2nd story windows. It may be beneficial to state their isn't an elevator too because those are SO common in homes. Regarding the steps being steep, the steps were built to code, so I don't know what else I could do to improve the steps. I am very disappointed you gave this property a 1 STAR rating SOLELY because YOU missed this was a 2 STORY house. I wish you luck in your future bookings and suggest you ASK a future host if there are steps so you don't book another 2 story home with STEPS. LOL!!!

Sharon, we strive to earn an all 5 star rating from each guest.. We repaint scratched up walls and trim constantly. We stock our homes better than ANY vacation property we have ever stayed in. I hope we didn't earn a mere 4 star rating due to some recently painted walls. You would help myself and future hosts by communicating with them during your stay if you aren't FULLY satisfied with your accommodations. To be fair to a host, you should at least give them the opportunity to "FIX" something you aren't happy with rather than voicing it "AFTER" the fact. If a host can fix something during your stay, don't you think they at least deserve the right to correct the problem before voicing it publicly on a review? Perhaps we could have fixed the smell and made your stay better. That would have been a WIN, WIN for both of us.

Shelly, I reached out to you at 2:00pm to find out what time you were expecting to arrive because I was working on replacing the rotten deck boards, installing a new dishwasher, pressure washing the garage, and cleaning the carpets in the master bedroom. These items are not items we typically have to address during every guest turnover. You responded to me a few minutes after 2pm informing me you expected to arrive at 3pm. I immediately informed you check in is 4pm and I was tackling a few unexpected issues that I was working on and hoped to get everything done as close to 4pm as possible. You arrived at 3pm anyway. Cleaning crew, dishwasher installer, and handyman were out of the property at 4:08pm. 8 minutes after the "actual" 4pm check in time. Sorry for the 8 minute delay we will try and do better next time. We have 2 full sets of pots and pans and a brand new griddle. You are the first guest to express a lack of cooking utensils. If you had reached out to us during your stay, we would have been able to help accommodate any additional needs you may have had "during your stay instead of in this review". Sorry the pool was closed, the Covid19 guidelines change frequently and I have no control over the HOA or County Health department guidelines for the community pool being open or closed. I offered to reimbursement you fees you incurred to use a public pool or to go to Lake Allatoona and you chose not to go swimming. We will look into the other items you mentioned because you are the first guest to mention a problem with the grill and can opener and etc. If you rent another vacation property in the future I suggest you communicate any prebooking concerns with the host prior to booking so there are NO misunderstandings. I would also familiarize yourself with cancellation policies and early check outs. (we don't refund guests if they choose to check out early).
