“The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful making for a very relaxed stay.
Breakfast was good, really enjoyed the kippers! We had dinner one night which we enjoyed.

“This hotel provides a basic room. We did not get food here. (Breakfast cost extra) The room had a very strong mothball smell so we opened the window and left a floor fan running all night. Bedside areas need outlets to plug in phones so these rooms need updating. The sink did not have hot water. For the price this room was not worth it.”

“The Mecure is a walkable distance from the train station, and from its front doors and front rooms one can look right down a main avenue to the Esplanade and the Firth of Clyde. The staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast had a wide choice of buffet items. I also had supper two evenings in the hotel, and the wait staff plus food were very good. The items for vegetarians were fine, but not much was available for vegans.
Because of my knee and hip surgeries, I had to ask to change...
