Cozy Washington Log Cabin: Riverside Retreat

Just about an hour from Portland and minutes north of Longview, this cozy riverfront log cabin is an easy escape from city noise without the long drive. Tucked along the Toutle River near Mount St. Helens, it’s the kind of quiet you can feel the moment you arrive.



Step onto your private deck overlooking the river and slow down. Enjoy coffee in the crisp morning air, soak in the hot tub as the river flows by, or gather around the fire pit or fire table when the evening cools. Inside, settle in for a movie night on the projector screen or curl up with a book and let the sound of the water do the rest.



The cabin sits directly on the riverbank, with several peaceful spots to relax and take in the view. Scenic hiking, Mount St. Helens, and the small-town charm of Castle Rock, WA are all close by. Some light road noise may be heard during weekday daytime hours.



Inside, the fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bathroom features a hot shower and radiant floor heat, perfect after a day outdoors. The cozy loft is accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder with wide, non-slip steps, and parts of the property include steps or uneven terrain, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.



Sleeping arrangements include four very comfortable queen-sized beds and a sleeper sofa, though we recommend up to four guests for the best experience. Guests have full access to the property, including direct river access, the hot tub (heated and ready for your arrival), and outdoor fire areas.



A signed liability waiver is required prior to your stay to meet insurance requirements. The property is reserved for adult guests only.
